BEAR CONTRACTING AND MANAGEMENT

We were very pleased with the design and generally pleased with the over all construction. The quality of the framing, roofing, and exterior was well done and very acceptable. The wall board and finish work was done mostly by the sons and was not as acceptable. We have several complaints about his work. It was alway unpredictable when he or his sons would show up for work. Our building project was a part time job. Some times they would only spend a couple of hours per week on the job. Dave would not consult with us on several of the construction decisions. Examples are: how to lay the tile, how to finish the stairs from the family room. He did a very poor job on the basement concrete floor. It was uneven and not finished well. On the tile job he used the wrong thin set and materials. I had to take up the laid tile, and we had another tile contractor relay the tile. We took Dave to Small Claims court to recover our costs. He still has not paid us yet. Not recommend him.
