800 Lawn Care

I used 800 Lawn Care for the years 2014-2016. During that period, the quality of service provided went down while the price went up. Last year, the crew was in and out in 15 minutes or less, even though the lawn care was satisfactory. They mostly showed up on the day and time scheduled, but I couldn't count on it. When I needed a couple of small bushes trimmed, I had to call and schedule a separate crew which never showed up in either 2015 or 2016. I was forced to trim the bushes myself. I also had to call whenever a sprinkler head needed to be replaced. I had to look for the broken ones myself. The crew didn't know a flower from a weed, so my wife requested they stay out of the flower gardens. Last fall, I called to request a fall cleanup after most of the leaves had fallen. I was told that their crews had moved on to install Christmas lights, and they didn't have anyone available for cleanup. Generally, crews couldn't be counted on to show up when expected. Cost was $40/week for mowing and edging last year. Last year, they changed from monthly to weekly e-statements, but allowed me to pay monthly. Determining what I owed at the end of the month was not as easy as it should have been. However, receiving e-statements and having the ability to make payments electronically was a plus for 800 Lawn Care.

Think twice and choose another service provider!! They came and did sprinkler repairs and now my lawn is sinking where there is a water leak. Scheduled them to come by and fix it and they never showed. Now been two weeks and I called to complain and there response was "if you don't like how we handle our business find another service provider" and cancelled my appt. Have burn marks all over the lawn now!! They are great when the job is easy but when they mess something up they don't back up their work and tell you to get somebody else to fix it. Very sad the way they choose to operate!!

He did not come on time and when called said that they had made a mistake in scheduling. However their man did eventually come that afternoon and was both professional and cheerful. The technician did excellent work and worked late to complete the job. The price on the materials used and labor I thought was very reasonable. I would definitely use this company again and refer it to others.

I contacted 800 Lawn Care (and several other companies at the same time) through Angie's List because water filled up our sprinkler box when we tried to turn it on, so we assumed there was a leak. 800 Lawn Care responded quickly and had availability, so I scheduled for them to come out the following Monday to check the problem and also do a general tune-up as well. I was told I would get a call Monday morning giving me a better idea of what time they could come, but I didn't. I called and left a message, then called a few hours later when I still hadn't heard from them. That second time Matt picked up, and called his guys to find out where they were at, and then called me right back to let me know they would be out in about 45 minutes. And they were. Both men were polite, but when I asked they didn't know that they were there for more than a tune-up. I told them about the problem and they got to work. It turned out there was no leak or need for repair; a valve was open and just needed to be shut. I had them show me where it was so I wouldn't make the same mistake twice! They then proceeded with the tune-up. There was one head that had a small problem and they explained it to me and asked if I wanted it replaced, which I appreciated.
In summary, I gave a B in responsiveness, but I understand this is a busy time for lawn care companies and so I feel like I was still contacted in a timely enough fashion. I have the peace of mind from having my system checked over. I would use them again.

This provider handles many lawn care for our entire HOA. They are an amazing group and so good to work with. The are very professional and prompt. They have handled many services from lawn care, fertilization, flowerbeds, sprinklers, etc... I would highly recommend Matt and his crew!

We used this company for two years and thought their work was just ok. The grass in our backyard never looked mowed and was always a little too long. They did an ok job but was not overly impressed by any of their work. They would leave things messy after adding new mulch to our flower beds also which I thought was strange, as it is their job to make our beds look nice.
We also had issues of not knowing when they would show up which was especially important for us with our dog that is often times in the backyard. We rarely received any notification of when they were coming especially at the start of a new season. They would send general emails about Spring service but never anything to specifically let us know when they would be coming to our house. And then we were told that this is what all lawn companies do. We also had given them a specific time that we'd like them to come each week which they agreed to but never did. That was super frustrating.
Overall, mediocre work that looked fine. It was the scheduling and communication that we didn't like and ended up not using them any longer.

They were great. It was good job, I was satisfied with the work. They get rid of everything.

My need was for a licensed, bonded contractor to install permanent outside Christmas lighting on a very large home with 60' ground to roof height; quite dangerous in my opinion. | |These guys were very professional, quickly produced a competitive bid, arrived with all proper equipment, ensured the work was done before the snow arrived here in Utah, and offered yearly maintenance and any yard lighting upgrades going forward. | |I would highly recommend this group. Their normal model is seasonal yard maintenance in the Summer, but supplement their off-season revenue with these special projects. I've already told all my neighbors these guys are the best I've seen in 30 years.

Everything is great.

Even though our sprinkler system was running the allotted amount of time, our lawn was dying in certain patches. Our original appointment was for a Friday, but due to weather-related problems, it couldn't be kept. A phone call was made and another appointment was scheduled.
He spent a lot of time running back and forth to verify the sprinklers were working as desired, and he fixed all broken ones. Within a week our lawn looks 100% better.
He told us that if it didn't improve to call and they'd come back for another check.
Will definitely use them again.

He showed up the next day and dug out the broken lines and figured out what was being done. Fixed the problem, everything works, replaced the dirt, replaced the grass.

They are awesome, I really like them. They are reliable and they never let me down. I also like that I can pay online, it's very easy. They are so nice, really good, and quick.

AMR Landscapes has been taking care of my lawn and yard for 4 years. My yard has never looked better!! They always clean up after the service, and often go above and beyond, such as removing a few broken tree limbs that were damaged in a wind storm.I've also used AMR for yard cleanup when my weeds have gotten out of my control. Their prices have always been extremely reasonable, and the work was done in a professional manner. They have repaired sprinkler heads for me, moved sprinkler heads, and other miscellaneous work on my sprnkler system.I have referred AMR Landscapes to several neighbors who continue to use their services and are very pleased with them as well.

They are reliable. It hasn't come for a couple of years now. I am really thinking about canceling because my lawn had a lot of snow mold on it last spring. My leaves have never seen to go away. It hasn't come back a couple of times to do an extra treatment. I don't know if it is my particular grass that has an issue with it or if it's the service. It is hard to say. I think I am going to give another company a shot next year to see if my lawn looks any better. We will use them for sprinkler clean up, but need to decide on lawn care.

I have used AMR Landscapes for my weekly lawn service for over 2 years. They also do all my fertilizing. I've also hired them to do special projects for me such as installing a sprinkler system and sod in my backyard, multiple weeding cleanouts of flower beds, laying down mulch, and pretty much anything else I've needed done with my yard. They do an exceptional job, are quick, punctual, and very reasonably priced. I've been thrilled with everything they've done for me. In the last year they have branched out into holiday lighting at Christmas. They installed custom fit lights and wreaths on my house, came back and replaced burned out light bulbs, took down the lights and stored them for me. I can't wait to have them come put them back up this year. Their prices were very competitive to other companies and the quality of their work was exactly what I've come to expect from them. I've recommended this company to several of my neighbors and I would recommend them to anyone else in the Northern Utah County area.
