What fantastic service I get from JD's Makit Green! The package prices are reasonable and make taking care of my yard so easy. They know when to do all of the lawn care to-do's. They are also prompt on any special services I have requested, such as mulch. My yard looks great, no matter what the season.

I’ve been a long-time customer mainly because JDs is reliable, reasonably priced and its crews do great work. In addition, this family-owned company has excellent customer service. We found them through word of mouth 20 years ago, after we bought our very first home in Plano. We’ve moved since then, and the company has passed from father to son, but the quality remains.

Every job they've done has been professional and quick. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I am satisfied with all work performed, and will continue to be a regular customer.

They do a good job of trimming edge and it's mainly what we ask them to do. Last time, we asked them to also trim the roses and they forgot that.

They're great, they're A+, they're fantastic. Their price is standard in the area. There is not going to be anything that's not 'A' for these guys. I would recommend these guys to anybody. They're great, they're prompt, they keep the schedule on an ongoing basis. When I need additional work with landscaping, they're always there, with not only a quote, but also getting the work done. They schedule and make sure it fits your schedule and so you can work with them and they're very flexible.

They provided a very competitive quote to handle all my lawn maintenance needs.  They take the guesswork out of worrying about weeds and my yard at a price I can afford.  My lawn looks great compared to many of my neighbors using the more expensive competitors.  I've hired them to handle my car wash lawn service as well.

It takes them just minutes and they make it look immaculate. The same guys come out for me. They have very competitive pricing. Everyone compliments how beautiful my lawn is. I have been with them for 10 years.

We are extremely happy with them. They do an excellent job.

Here's the letter I sent to discontinue my service after 3 weeks:

1. My inability to communicate effectively with your company
In three emails, all acknowledged by Jason, I requested that my lawn be mowed high and that the sidewalks be edged with a blade. This was never written on the Invoice and the crews did not follow the instructions.
Two voicemails that I left on the company phone number, in which I requested a call back, were never acknowledged and I did not receive a call back
2. The crew who came yesterday did follow my request to cut high and use a blade. They even wrote “cortar muy alta” on the Invoice, but I have no confidence that this would happen next week.
3. The mower blade the crew used must have been quite dull because the cut edges of the grass are ragged.and quot;

I used this company for nearly 10 years, and finally switched. They mowed and edged fast and well, and as long as this is what I needed we had no issues. But I had terrible issues with trying to get anyone in the office to return my call, or discuss work I wanted done with me.
On the occasion I would get them, the lady was fine, and nice. But it seems the man who controls the work is extremely bad tempered to his customers, and will NEVER correspond with you when discussing a job.
I would get them to do weeding, and planting, etc, and I'd never know what they'd do, nor would they ever 'advise' me or let me know in advance what I'd be getting.
In the end, I quit using them as my lawn service as I am tired of being treated so badly. I am sorry, because I had no issues with their weekly mowing service, in general, and the men who came out to perform work were professional.
It's just not worth it to me, so I am looking for a new lawn service.

I never got my plants replaced.This past August 2013, was the last time that I used them since they pulled live plants again and my yard looked very bare. I told him that I no longer needed his services, he never contacted me to apologize for his men's actions. I would recommend him for mowing, but be very leary about what things to trim.

I had them come clean out the beds and they had to return 3 times and never got them clean. They lift all the roots so they continued to grow back. Never could get anyone to answer the phone.

I have had a few issues in the past and most stems from responsiveness when calling the office. I can never seem to get a hold of anyone in the office and it usually takes a while for them to get back to me after leaving messages. As for their crew, they are quick and efficient. I only had one bad experience when one of the crew members relieved himself on my new fence which really p***** me off (No Pun intended). This was an isolated incident and I did not report the person to the office since I didn't want to cost the guy his job.

Our lawn always looks really, really great. JDS Make IT Green have extra services like scalping our lawns and put mulch for us but the charge is free. They're very, very good. They cut it at a good length. They leave a bill on the door and then I'm able to go and pay it online. They bag the cuttings when they scalp the lawn. I've never ever had a problem with them leaving a mess. They're very personable. I've used them for several years.

They have come out serviced my lawn twice. They quoted me $32.00 for the services and when they left the bill there was an additional cost (possibly for tax) that they did not warn me up front about. The first time I was not pleased but I think they might have been some trouble with communication.The second time I was very pleased with how my lawn looked. They do excellent work . They have done better than anyone else.

I would highly recommend them. I used them before but I looked them up on Angie's list and they were listed. I would continue to use them. The pricing is good. The staff was very responsive.

We were referred to JD's by one of my husband's employees. We started out having them come every other week because my husband is very picky and did not think anyone could take care of the lawn the way he wants it done. However, after the first few months, when he saw what a good job they do and how careful they are, we now have them come every week.
They simply mow and edge our lawn. But I am very appreciative because not only does our lawn look neat and tidy all of the time, they are careful of our new trees and plantings. They also never fail to close our gate. We have two dogs and I was nervous at first, but now that we know them, I never think twice before letting the pups out.
Another thing I like is that JD's has the option to cease service during the winter months, so that is a good money saver for the couple of months when nothing is growing anyway.

I have used them for a while. I would recommend them to others, and I am pleased with their services.

I had a weed problem (mostly nutsedge, crab grass, some horsenettle) and sparsely growing grass, brown patches, etc. My lawn did not look good. They assured me that they would get my yard in shape but that it may take a bit of time. Well it never looked good and in fact got worse. I had so many more weeds of different varieties than I have ever had. My yard was a disaster all year long. The other issue I had was with the office girl that did the scheduling. Not once (I am NOT exagerating) did they show up on the day they were scheduled. She would call and say "they will be there on Thursday", they would show up on Friday. Same thing over and over. When I questioned her she would say "no i told you Friday". At first I thought I was nuts, then I started keeping track. I should have done my research prior to using this company. My bad. Anyway, I have found a local company that is FANTASTIC and my yard looks better than ever, after only a couple months of treatment. It's green and lush and weed free!
