excellent. Everything was explained to me, I was kept informed of options and the company verified with my engineer. Took less than a day, everything cleaned up nicely. I'm a happy customer.

The lady on the phone was RUDE. She refused to work with me (the buyer) and would only speak to the seller. Then she huffed when I asked her what her availability was, and when she finally told me it was 2 weeks out. Real estate transactions don't have 2 week option periods. Upon further research I found that there are 2 Hargrave foundation repairs in Dallas. Don't be fooled. The one with all the positive reviews is NOT this company.

I contacted 5 Foundation companies to look at my home to see if I needed repairs. I have several internal cracks but zero cracks on the outside so I was extremely confused if my foundation needed repair. 4 of those foundation companies all said that only one quarter of my house was shifting, 3 could not explain why other than "it's Dallas clay soil", only 1 said a mature oak tree that was planted 30 feet away was to blame, and none could really explain cracks on the other side of the house. Caleb was the only one to notice that my drop was all along the backside caused by an upheaval in the front due to either poor drainage or a broken pipe in the slab which would explain the internal cracks and no external cracks. Caleb was also the only one who said that the drainage issue needed to be fixed prior to stabilizing the foundation as I would continuously be spending money to fix the symptoms, but not the cause. Caleb recommended that we do not do any foundation work at this time but call an engineer (for drainage issue) and a plumber (to perform a static test for a broken pipe in the slab) to determine what is causing the upheaval and wait to see if the house would fix itself. I will admit that Hargrave was the most expensive of the 5 foundation companies but I believe that the Hargraves piers is what most homeowners need for Dallas clay soil and he was the only one to notice the drop throughout the back of the house. Hargrave use steel piers that go down to bedrock, which is a platform that does NOT move. Most foundation companies use the typical concrete piers that only go as far as the compacted clay. Why would I use the same soil to stabilize my foundation when the soil is what is causing the issue to begin with? Caleb and company is wonderful to work with as they answer the phone at any time and were very patient to answer my questions and offer advice, even when it was not in their best interest to win the bid. I do plan on using Hargrave in the future if I need foundation work and highly recommend them to my friends/coworkers.

All 3 companies took the standard measurements and showed where the floors were lower than the middle of the house. Caleb recommended getting an engineer's report (which would have been needed by the city to get a permit, so it wasn't wasted money.) I did and the engineer agreed with him - no repairs were recommended at this time. Caleb saved me a lot of money. If I ever do need foundation work, Hargraves will be the only company I'll go to. I was really impressed by the honesty they showed.

They came out three different times over the years to do foundation repair. The first time they did concrete foundation and the second time it was steel pier. None of the work was really good. It would last for awhile and go back to the way it was. The house kept sinking. We ended up selling the house and the new owners are having foundation work done by a different company.

"We have not worked on this address in Fort Worth. The owner must have called another company and confused them with us. There IS another Foundation company with a similar name. If you are trying to reach us, please be sure to look for Hargrave Custom Foundation Repair. Our number is 972-442-5000. (I am glad the customer had a good experience though.)"

Randy arrived on time and was very quick and personable. After his evaluation of the home he recommended addition some soil in parts of the yard to create a better grade and using soaker hoses through the winter with a re-inspection in March. This was the 3rd company we've had come out and I was fully expecting a plan for pier installation. I appreciated Randy's no nonsense approach and guidance as this is the first time we've had any foundation problems.
We will follow his guidance and have him out again for the re-inspection. It was such a nice feeling to have someone come in and not go straight to selling their fix. I am very pleased with Hargrave, they had been recommended by a friend and I see why.

Arrived promptly on schedule; worked quickly; workers carried removed soil to the front yard where it was placed on plywood boards away from the work area; dug up 2 native perennials to access the foundation and when I asked the worker to dig a larger root ball he did so; unfortunately someone stepped on a different perennial and broke it down to the ground-hopefully it will recover; replanted both plants that were dug up and watered them; foundation lift closed the obvious window separation; I was told that the piers torqued out at 19 ft into the ground; entire job was to take approximately half a day but only took 2.5 hours unlike a neighbor who opted for a different company using concrete piers wherein the job lasted 3+ days; other than obviously disturbed soil along the foundation and mud on the flagstone pathway there is little evidence of workers having been in the yard.

Had noticed some cracks in my bricks and some settling of the house. Knowing that my house is almost 15 years old I expected foundation trouble. I contacted about 5 foundation repair companies. Some are on Angie's List and some were referrals. I received so many different results that I was not even sure what direction to take. I was told I needed piers from 3 companies. One told me I had a plumbing problem and wasn't even given an estimate. One place told me I needed 12 outer and 2 inner piers. Yikes! Who do you trust? When the gentleman from Hargrave arrived, he did the measurements and told me that I have seasonal shifting. There will probably be foundation work required in the future, but at this time there is no indication that work is required. At first I was skeptical. After I thought about it, I came to the conclusion that this company could have sold me piers but chose to be honest with me. I have been monitoring the foundation situation since and have noted no other signs of the foundation worsening. I will monitor and when I need work, I will contact them again.

Hargrave and Hargrave came out to give me an estimate on foundation repair. They were punctual, friendly, and knowledgable.
Instead of trying to simply sell me foundation repair, they told me I should wait and get a structural engineer since my slab issue was caused by an underslab leak. They said I should wait up to 6 months after the leak was repaired to get the foundation adjusted because it would simply be a waste of time. They were honest enough to not try to sell me something just to make a sale.
This is what I liked about them.
HOWEVER, after they left, I turned over the business card they gave me and on the back reads:
MY BUSINESS...
LIKE YOU, I WORK FOR A LIVING. BUT MY REAL BUSINESS IS TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT CHRIST - NOT AS A RELIGION, BUT AS A LIVING PERSON READY TO SAVE PEOPLE FROM H***! TRUE, IT'S YOUR OWN BUSINESS WHAT YOU DO ABOUT THAT, BUT SEEING THAT YOU HEAR HIS OFFER TO ENTER YOUR HEART AND LIFE IS MINE.
HIS INVITATION READS and quot;BEHOLD I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK: IF ANY MAN HEAR MY VOICE AND OPEN THE DOOR I WILL COME IN.and quot; (REV. 3:20)
JUST AS YOU WOULD OPEN THE DOOR OF YOUR HOME TO A FRIEND'S KNOCK, SO CAN YOU OPEN YOUR HEART TO CHRIST. PRAY: and quot;COME INTO MY HEART LORD AND MAKE YOURSELF REAL TO ME.and quot; HE WILL INSTANTLY! YOU'LL KNOW YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN AND YOU'RE READY TO MEET GOD. THEN YOU'LL BE GLAD THIS IS MY BUSINESS!and quot;

The owner of this business has a right to believe whatever he wants, but to prosthelytize on the back of a BUSINESS card is COMPLETELY inappropriate! Unless one is a Pastor or Priest or whatever, it has absolutely no place in business.
This completely turned me off and despite the fact they were friendly and seemed knowledgeable, this made me immediately decide not to patronize this business. I am sure I am not the only one they have lost as a customer for that reason.
The only reason I didn't give them an overall F was because of their responsiveness and punctuality.
So my advice, only use Hargrave and Hargrave if you're an evangelical Christian or don't mind being called a sinner by a complete stranger.

Their method is helical piles. They tried to drive the piles deep enough into the ground but could not get it, because they hit hard rock too shallow in the ground. Then they abandoned the job and returned. Even though they charged me a hundred and some dollars for a plumbing test they performed (contracted out) previously.

He was fantastic. He was knowledgeable. We had two other companies already come in to give us estimate and talk to us about what we needed done. The time both the other companies stayed here, that was the time that Mr. Hargrove stayed just inside the house talking to us. He spent around forty five minutes to an hour just checking to see what we needed done. He was so thorough. He was probably one of the most thorough people I had ever dealt with. Even my wife said that he explained it to the point that she understood everything what he was talking about. He was right to the point and very punctual in doing the work.

The work was completed in a day and I paid in full upon receiving the engineer's letter. Based on my overall experience, I personally would not recommend this company.
