The owner, Maribeth Flowers, does the site visit to scope out the work requested and presents her cost and what she proposes to do at your home. She is highly credentialed within the industry yet focuses on what type of end result are you, the customer looking for. This touches on things like formal/informal, what types of colors do you like, etc. We found walking the property to be most practical to visualize what her plans were. A key area that my wife and I liked was her goal to retain as much existing landscaping as feasible. This keeps the cost lower and also yielded a more mature look when done. The work was completed in early Jul where now in late Sep, a lot of the perennials have grown a lot. Maribeth was very good about communicating when the work would be done and what to expect. She also has an assistant, Cindy, who follows up with you on site 2 - 3 times after the job is completed to answer any questions and assess the health of the plants. A strong attention to detail was noticed where a good bit of work went into the preparation of the site with soil amendment and mulch. She warrants all her plants for 1 year and is not surprised when a few don't make it. We found Maribeth easy to work with and very accommodating to considering a different approach. We were converting a grassy area on the side of the house with pool equipment. Her initial thought was to put in small stones between the equipment and the concrete walkway. We challenged her to consider a different approach where a crape myrtle and perennials with mulch coupled with a small dry riverbed leading into the already in place drains turned out to be the biggest pleasant surprise when it was done. We relied on Maribeth to pick most of the plants and use her expertise in their placement. It was sort of like the show Fixer Upper. Because of the dynamics of on site changes and owing to her commitment to be fair and honest, the overall job came in less then her initial estimate as we used less larger specimen trees (a cost avoidance). It is acknowledged there was a lot of labor involved for the removal of existing plant material before the new stuff can be installed. This ranged from a tree guy with a stump grinder to a sod cutter to get the grass out including the roots to tying a rope around a shrub to pull it out. We are planning on using her for a possible front yard renovation and have received a number of compliments on the finished result.

I was very pleased with both the process and the result. The owner of the company, Maribeth Flowers (yes, that?s really
her last name), was reliable, timely, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I knew my yard needed work but, not being a gardener, I had no idea what I wanted/where to start.  She was super patient and found the right balance of involving me in decisions and making executive decisions when I couldn't.
The end result has been a yard that all my friends and neighbors comment on.  It achieved my goals of color, ease of maintenance, and variety.  Most importantly, its made my home one that I am proud to drive up to each night.
Additionally, Maribeth and her team are honest. When she realized I?d inadvertently overpaid, her admin proactively reached out to me to ensure I received a refund. Also, when the concrete contractor accidentally cut the line to one of my landscaping lights, Maribeth made sure it was repaired at no additional cost to me.

Well Done

Flowers' competely removed existing flowerbeds and patios, then installed new beds, borders, plants, and a new concrete patio surrounding our pool.
The owner, Maribeth Flowers, had inspirational design ideas and was involved in every step of the design/installation process. I know nothing about plants, but she was able to take the general picture of what I wanted and choose plants and materials that fit perfectly.  
I really liked the owner involvement. Maribeth worked closely with both me and the concrete company.  When we found a sprinkler problem she arranged for an irrigation repair company to call me, and followed up afterward to make sure I was satisfied.  
There were some installation delays during peak  busy season but they kept me informed.
The project exceeded my original budget. We reduced the size of the beds and patio from our original plan to stay closer to budget, but I didn't want to concede any more space. Also, I have an older home and while excavating we unearthed some obstacles which added additional expense.  
Flowers' Gardens & Landscaping is not the cheapest option out there, but you get excellent quality, knowledgeable and experienced specialists, and accommodating staff.

They were professional.  They were extremely nice folks and I plan to use them again.

We've proven that our heavily shaded front yard just will not grow grass anymore, so we were looking for an alternative. But we didn't want to just fill the space with the same old asian jasmine that seems to be everywhere. Maribeth Flowers designed an innovative bed/patio with two different kinds of ground cover.   The results are incredible!  Lots of visual interest with varied shades of green and different heights of plants.  Really upgraded our curb appeal!  
Maribeth's crew was very efficient and professional.  The quality of work was excellent.  
Although Maribeth's quote was quite a bit higher than another we received, I felt like Maribeth's ideas and experience in this part of Texas warranted the extra cost.  She was very knowledgable about which plants would/wouldn't do well in our yard, and she had many suggestions about how to get the project to a price we were comfortable with--while still making it look great.  Turns out, her estimate was higher than the final price of the project, so we were very happy with that!
I hope to use them for a hardscape project in my backyard in the future.

I like them. They are very prompt, fast, and good. I think their price is a little high.

It was very expensive. I was expecting more hands on from the designer and overall I was disappointed, less than I expected.

I think they do a good job. The lady that runs it comes by and checks on things. Unless it rains, you can count on them coming. I think they do a good job and I will continue to use them. The cost listed is what I pay for the month, if they come out four times, once a week.

Overall, it was a great experience. Maribeth and her crew were very professional, neat and punctual. It was a pleasure working with them.
