Initially things went well. Communications were returned promptly, and the work began fairly close to schedule. We followed Brian Campbell's recommendation for prestained wood, so the fence construction only took a couple of days. We have a swimming pool and were concerned about the risks of an unfenced pool, so Brian was sure to enclose that portion of the yard first.
While digging new posts for our side-yard, the workers accidentally severed our underground sprinkler wires. This was unreported (they probably didn't know about it), I had to pay another company for the repairs.
The new gazebo looked very nice. Upon close inspection, though, I noticed that it was held together with nails rather than wood screws. The wood they selected was very rough and splintery, and I regret this choice.
Within a few months, we began to experience split and broken pickets on all four of the swinging gates. The doors were not constructed well. Brian replaced one of these. But when I called and emailed later on to have the others examined, none of my messages were returned.
There were a few other and quot;fit and finishand quot; items that i was not entirely content with. The decorative cap along the fence did not have clean joints, and the gaps have become even more noticeable as the wood shrank and/or warped. Brian did not return my calls or emails about this either.
I made one final attempt to reach him in December 2012, both by phone and email. This was a little more than one year after the project was completed. Those messages were never returned, and so I gave up.
The fence is now 3 years old. The original stain is starting to fade - particularly towards the bottom where the sprinklers hit it. This is not unexpected, and Brian warned us that even prestaining will need preiodic reeappliction. We still have problems with splitting wood. Otherwise, the fence has held up well.
I was happy with the initial work, but the follow-through was less than satisfactory.

I've had fences built in the past with less than optimal results, so this time I was very careful to explain in detail what I required. David listened to my requirements, including all the special provisions for my dogs, and fulfilled every one at a reasonable price and in a better than expected time frame.
I have a beautiful new fence, my dogs are safe and secure, and I couldn't be happier. I wholeheartedly recommend this company and highly suggest you give them the opportunity to bid on your fence.

My auto jumped the curb, ploughed through high, thick, deep hedges, and knocked down some chain link fencing that surrounded a playground at a Montessori school. The repairs needed to be made quickly, before school resumed and children were on the playground. I checked Angie's List for a fence company. The first company I called couldn't help, but recommended Crown Fence. When I talked with the owner the next day, 7/26/10, he said his crew could be there to do the work that weekend. Even better, it turned out that the company (under a different name) was the original company that had installed the original fence. Absolutely incredible! The crew did a professional job!! The owner and Director of the Montessori School were delighted with the repairs. All I could think about were the children that needed a secure playground, ASAP! I was so grateful for the immediate response of Crown Fence Company, and for their attentive and careful work. I highly recommend Crown for fence repairs, or a new fence.

In the very beginning the representative was very attentive to my ideas, suggestions and concerns. Additionally, everything we had researched on this company seemed to check out as well so we were excited to get the project rolling and set a start date. We were told that our overall job would be completed in one week maximum. The job ended up taking a month and a half to complete. During this time we had to deal with lying, excuses, no shows, careless work and horrible communication skills. If the teams of contractors that came out to do the work had been personally supervised like we were told they would be, a lot of that if not all of it could have been eliminated. In the end, the quality of work and material was excellent but having to constantly micro manage these guys was a real detractor. We also had follow up operational issues with our operator when all was said and done. This company handled the warranty work with an extreme lack of professionalism. I expect more from a pro.

THE JOB WAS DONE IN ONE DAY AND DONE VERY WELL. MR. DON SIMONS WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND VERY HONEST. OTHER COMPANIES WANTED TO REPLACE THE WHOLE FENCE BUT HE SAID THAT IT ONLY NEEDED REPAIR FOR 20% OF THE COST OF A NEW FENCE.
