Creative Concrete

He did an outstanding job. We were on vacation while he did the work, so he did the work while we were gone. He sent me a text message to update me on the progress of the work since I wasn't home. When we returned, we were very pleased in the work he completed. The concrete looked a lot better after being cleaned and re-sealed. I would definitely hire him again.

The project could not have gone better! The quality of the work is outstanding and Kevin is great to work with. He kept all of his commitments, always arrived when he said he would, kept me informed, and worked with me to get the finished product the way I wanted it. He willingly made changes in the scope, as the work progressed, to remedy unanticipated conditions of the existing concrete work and to insure the coloring/staining was just as I wanted. That was not easy given the existing stain/paint. Kevin provided excellent advice on coloring and techniques to achieve what I wanted. We easily agreed, when the work was completed, on an adjusted price, to address the additional work and materials required.

We had to wait a while due to his schedule, but it was worth it. Excellent job.

We have a stained driveway and we had it redone. He was fantastic, knows his stuff and my?stupid driveway gave him?fits. He's been doing this for like I think he said 12 or 15 years and two things have happened on my driveway that he has never seen before he could not figure out what the heck was wrong with it. He's great he's really really good, knows his stuff. He's expensive he's very expensive but he knows his stuff.

Kenneth came out and gave us a quote initially in January.  We told him that we would not be able to get started until after March, and he was very understandable with out request.  Our side projects kept us from actually starting until the end of May, and Kenneth still honored a very old estimate that surely would have expired with other companies.  Kenneth came out and explained what was needed on our part, how to move furniture and clothes to keep them safe, and he let us know what would take place each day.
When Kenneth had our slab cleaned and ready to stain, we requested an additional feature be added to our project.  Kenneth gave us an incredible quote that was well within our budget and he started with the stain.  We could not believe how amazing the slab looked just after the staining process.  Kenneth put new cuts into the concrete that simulated tiling and he also etched the entire border around our bottom floor... closets included.  Again, every step of the way he was responsive and extremely polite.
Kenneth came out on a Sunday to finish the job and allow us to get back into our house.  On that final Sunday there was a baby shower taking place next door.  Kenneth spoke to us and stated that he didn't want to bother anyone at the baby shower since there at times is a harsh chemical smell when putting down the sealant and wax.  Kenneth offered to come back on Monday to finish the service so that it wouldn't disrupt our neighbor's event.  This goes well beyond what we would expect and we've never met a service provider that took concern with the neighbor's and their special event.
Kenneth finished the project and we were more than amazed.  Our floors have the appearance of custom marble and the raves and reviews we read when we posted pictures on Facebook were amazing.  We are still blown away at the artistic quality of Kenneth's work, the professionalism he showed, and the care he took with us during the entire process.
We will definitely call on Kenneth to do more work for us around our pool and outside deck.

My husband and I contacted Kenneth Allen owner of Creative Concrete about having our carpeted floors refinished by striping and staining the original concrete.  Kenneth was prompt and professional.  We knew by his answers, photos of previous jobs and reviews from past customers that we wanted to hire him for our job.  We had investigated having the floors redone with the troweled on overlay but didn't like the textured perfect finish.  I wanted to see my concrete, cracks and color variations, and I wanted a smooth polished finish.   That night we scheduled with Kenneth and were very excited for the job to begin.  Kenneth and Wayne
showed up on time on day one and got right to work, and boy did they have a lot to do!  It's amazing the amount of work involved in removing the layers junk left behind on concrete from builders.  They stripped and cleaned all the floors back to the original concrete then stained, coated and waxed our floors then adding a border and entry area in another color of stain.  The look is fantastic, shiny and fresh with a depth that really makes our rooms pop with color!  I can't recommend Kenneth Allen enough for all the hard work he and Wayne did!  They were great to work with and I enjoyed every minute getting to know them while they were at my home!  Thanks guys!

Kenneth was very helpful in determining what our porch needed as far as color.  He and his co-worker showed up each day when they said and worked carefully and professionally.  The job was done when he said and the price he said.  I would definitely recommend Creative Concrete.

We are very pleased.  Kenneth responded promptly to our initial request and did everything he promised from that point on.  He & his helper arrived on time everyday and worked non-stop.  We knew going in that concrete is unpredictable in how it responds to stain.  When the acid based stain revealed some flaws, Kenneth was ready with a solution.  He  applied a water based stain - an extra step in work & time - no extra charge.  He takes great pride in the finished product and will do whatever it takes to achieve a near perfect result.

The front porch was stained & scored in a brick pattern - it looks just like a terra cotta tile job.  The patio is beautiful in a dark brown stain(a special Kenneth blend) with a black border(another Kenneth idea).  They were very careful in the prep work, so the stain didn't get on any surroundings.  Great result.   We would definitely hire Creative Concrete again.  Thanks!!

Kenneth was great from start to finish. He was very responsive from the 1st call and provided me with great information and a couple of different options. Worked was started and finished within the timeline that we spoke of and the work looks great. I plan to do some more concrete work next spring and plan to use Kenneth and Creative Concrete again for that job.

I wish I was able to give Ken and Creative Concrete an A+ or higher.  Ken didn't just stain and score my patio, he created a work of art in my back yard.  I actually spoke to Ken about staining my patio when I first started getting estimates for the actual patio pour itself.  Many of the contractors told me they could do both the pour and stain, but after many conversations with Ken, I knew he would be doing the stain.  Ken is a master at what he does.  He is extremely talented, detail oriented, and his work is exquisite.  He was very responsive to every question I had in a very timely manner.  He treated my job as if he was doing his own patio.  He set all expectations up front and left nothing up to assumptions.  I'm very detail oriented, to the point it took me two days to design what the scoring would look like.  Ken nailed the very detailed scoring and etching and matched my design perfectly.  My design also called for mixing different stains to get to a specific color for the main portion of the patio, and a different color for the border.  Ken's result was gorgeous.  Everyday I walk out to my new patio, I'm just in awe at how beautiful it turned out.  I would highly recommend using Ken and Creative Concrete.

Kenneth was great! We had several weather delays and he stayed in touch on the timing. He was very professional and gave a written estimate and stuck to it. Kenneth is an artist and the patio looks AMAZING! I can't wait to find another project for him!

After a few days, several areas had a white patches.    He spot tested an area with a spray chemical which help some areas and did nothing to other areas.  He sprayed the second product to correct but it's not worked.  These white patches are over a foot in diameter and look similar to a cup of flour dumped onto the concrete.  Our furniture spent most of the summer in the side yard away from the pool area and resides there today.  We've not heard from Ken in weeks.
Ken came out with a Sherwin Williams rep to test test the moisture of my concrete.  My concrete has too much moisture and creates the white patches.  Their solution for me was to purchase Zylene and spray it on my self to temporarily remove the white chalky patches.

Kenneth and his assistant did an excellent job. It was amazing to see how they were able to clean the concrete floor and then turn it into a thing of beauty.

The slab had been under parquet flooring for about 30 years.  Kenneth cleaned all of the decades-old adhesives, dirt, and junk off of the slab and it looked like it had just been poured.  He patched four spots on the floor and did an acid stain and seal.  
I've been working with a lot of contractors recently and I'm admittedly pretty OCD when it comes to the work being done on my house.  So far, I'm about 50/50 on my satisfaction with well-rated contractors on Angie's List.  Creative Concrete is an exceptional contractor and the only one I've awarded all "A" ratings.  
Not too many people understand the value of prep work, but Kenneth spent a lot of time making sure the prep work was done and done well.  The cleaning of the slab was critical to this process and Kenneth did it by hand - without using mechanical equipment to avoid scarring the concrete.  Also, the walls, fireplace, baseboards, stairs, door, tile, etc - all features bordering the concrete - were well protected through every step of the process.
Kenneth always showed up when he said he would and kept me well informed the entire time.  You never know exactly what the finished product is going to look like with an acid stain, but the floor is stunning.  There is no better word to describe it.  It's the best decision I've made on my home.

Kenneth did an outstanding job.  His bid was reasonable and a considerable amount lower than another bid I received.  He was very flexible with scheduling the job and finished on time.  Kenneth was very professional throughout the entire process.  The floor is beautiful!  I would highly recommend Creative Concrete to anyone looking to have this kind of work done. 

Kenneth was great working around the issues caused by my dogs. The weather caused some delays, but that's expected. It looks beautiful with the 4x4' diagonal etching pattern. I don't want to clutter up my porch with furniture now that it looks so good.
