Capstone Renovation

We contacted Capstone Renovation and had them meet us for a quote. We had a fairly challenging task of partitioning off a fairly small formal living room directly off the foyer into a bedroom. This wasn't a split formal where adding french doors basically gives you a separate room, this was a formal living dining area with 11 foot ceilings and the architect never planned for a room being built in the space. Through the entire quote process Doug and Shane were very helpful with suggestions on what to do in the space and provided a very detailed quote with a bill of materials that tried to capture everything. The build started a month or so later and I was very impressed with the attention to detail and the commitment to try and deliver exactly what we wanted in the room design. I was also very happy with the quality of the work being completed and the care taken to protect the rest of the house during the construction of the room. In the final stages it was tough to see what the room would look like from the other parts of the house since it was shielded with plastic. It was almost like one of those home improvement shows where the work is hidden and then there is the big reveal at the end. Well today was the final reveal and the room looks incredible. We couldn't be any happier with it.

We were very pleased with the work performed by Capstone Renovations. The construction superintendent was accessible and efficient, and the subcontractors were both skilled and polite. We had to leave town for 2 weeks during construction, and the superintendent took the initiative to introduce each new subcontractor to our daughter so she would know who was coming and going. At each stage of construction, we were kept well informed about the schedule. No construction project is completed without a few misunderstandings or miscommunications. Capstone Renovations and their subcontractors handled each circumstance fairly, creatively, and promptly. For a variety of reasons, we did precisely specify every construction detail in the drawings and scope of work put together in advance. We were most impressed by the way that Capstone Renovations addressed the resulting issues that arose and the quality of their solutions. They did not try to take the cheapest way out, try to profit from our mistakes, or shift costs to us. If you know anything about construction, that is the true test of a quality general contractor. Capstone Renovations is first class, honest, and dependable.
