Very punctual, friendly and shows and explains what is wrong and what needs to be fixed.  I would definitely use again in the future for any and all plumbing needed.

Faucets - fine. Draining the water heater - disaster. Two days afterwards, I came home, was doing office work, and I hear a loud noise. Walked in my daughter's bedroom, and a large chunk of the ceiling was in the floor.
I called bulldog, he went into the attic and looked at it. He told me and quot;the gasket just went wooshand quot;. The unit is a Takagi, which he said is the best. I have had no problems with it, but if it is that good of a water heater, how did the gasket go woosh? He never apologized, reported it to his insurance company, or anything. Total damages (I have a lot of wood flooring in my house) was about $20,000.00.
His pricing is too high, he charges the maximum rate. I would not recommend this company to anyone. When he did install the tankless water heater, he did not install it over the garage, like I asked him too. Problem is, I came home, and he already had the installation almost completely done.

A rental house attic water heater was leaking causing part of a bedroom ceiling to collapse. My regular plumber recommended Bulldog because he is a single operator and attic water heater replacements are a two man job.I called Bulldog and described the situation. Steve quoted me the same price I paid, said he had an opening the next day and got the information on the water heater to be replaced. I sent Steve a text with the address and contact information of the tenant. By the time I got to the house the next morning, Steve and son were finishing up. They told me how to prolong the life of water heaters, cleaned up and left. Great experience, the best of an unexpectedly expensive situation. BTW, I called another top Angie's list plumber to compare prices. The other guys were and gt;$200 more for the heater, then wanted an additional $375 for the pan that goes under the water heater. Even with their AL coupon that knocks $100 off, they would be $500 more than Bulldog. Glad I called Bulldog!

The city did some work on a big sewer trunk line near my house, which led to a big odor problem in the neighborhood -- both outside and inside some houses. A static leak test showed a serious leak for my house. Another plumber recommended Bulldog for doing a video inspection of the pipes. Bulldog and his son showed me a couple of breaks, and they reported several more. His suggestion was to tunnel under the house to fix everything; rather than cutting though the foundation in 6 or 7 places. He quoted a fixed price for doing the work. 12K is a big number, so I had another crew do a video inspection, which confirmed the breaks. Other bids for the work (sometimes tunneling, sometimes cutting) were at 9.5K, 13K, and 30K. Based on a reasonable quote, and his experience with this big of a job, I chose Bulldog for the work. He wrote up a contract, and came by to discuss it, and we agreed to proceed.

It took about a week to do the digging. The crew wasn't always his and quot;regular guysand quot;, and varied from day to day. They needed to use a jackhammer to get through the dry clay, and would drag out the dirt by the bucket-load. They dug a 2-foot deep tunnel more than 20 feet towards the center of the house, following the pipe from one of the bathrooms. Then the tunnel turned and went another 10 feet to cover a second bathroom, the laundry, A/C, and major junctions. A second hole was able to cover the kitchen without having to go very far. Bulldog and his son were on site in the morning to get the crew started, and afternoon to check progress. Dirt was kept in good piles, and the hole that was exposed to passersby was marked with caution tape.

The pipe removal and replacement happened on two days, but they kept one bathroom functional at a time for me. Bulldog took some extra time to show me with video that some pipes we didn't replace were still good. For the A/C condensation drain, they also flushed the line and improved the arrangement of pipes. When done, we missed the inspector on the first try; but the inspection did pass on the next day. An engineer was needed to approve the process of putting all of the dirt back in. There was a small percentage of dirt left over, on which I'll need to get some grass to grow.

Include a holiday, and the work took three weeks. Some of the time was due to my requests. In general, I didn't need to be on-site, but there were a few days I needed to plan to be around. Overall, the impact of this job was confined to my wallet -- very little disturbance to the interior of the house. The odor problem was eliminated.

Oh yeah... my cat liked them, too.

The location was hard to get at in the attic and required a lot of work to get the old water heater out and put the new one in. Bulldog took care of getting a permit from the city, removed the old water heater, and replaced it with a new one with no damage to my house anywhere, plus all gas and water connections and the drain pan was brought up to code. The inspector came by today and everything passed.
