Description of Work: I was seeking estimates for a large renovation project, and contacted T and M to get a bid which they gave me. I felt the bid was high and that it was more than I wanted to spend so I approached them again to see what could be done to get the cost down and was told by one of the owners that in order for him to do anymore work on the estimates I would have to "put something up" for them to spend anymore time on the bid. I can only assume that he was wanting me to pay him for a new estimate which I wasn't about to do as I thought I was being more than fair by giving them another chance to either tell me he wasn't interested, give me a bid that I felt was fair and more in-line with what I was looking to spend, or simply tell me that was the best he could do. I have since spent over 200,000.00 on the renovation with more planned. It started off great with T and M but I feel like when he realized there were 2 others bidding he got mad he was under bid and then wanted me to pay him to re-work it. Weird
