It went very well. They did the best job ever and even cleaned up the site very well.

We dealt with Stephen primarily, and he was very helpful, prompt and professional to work with. Taylor stopped by the day of the roof work to check on progress and make sure everything was going smoothly. He made sure we were satisfied with everything as well. The crew arrived on time and worked throughout the day in the Houston heat and humidity to complete the job. They did fantastic work! We are completely happy with the finished result and would wholeheartedly recommend Ultimate if you are in the market to have your roof replaced.

We had a hail storm and had a lot of damage, the guys from Ultimate Builders perform the inspection alongside the insurance inspector and pointed out a lot of things the insurance inspector was overseeing. After the inspection, they replace the roof in 2 day (my roof is around 8,800 sq. ft), they cover my pool so no debri got in it, landscaping, landscaping lights and yard, so it would not get damaged. They replace the gutters and windows screen, refinish the back yard pergola. They were always on time and on top of things. They perform a great job and I will be using them in the future for any upgrade and/or maintenance job that I might have.

The plan was to replace the entire flat roof of our town home which covers some 2000 sq ft. We received bids from three roofing contractors. One offered replacement by overlaying the existing roof with same asphalt materials; another bid for using new plasma type materials; and Ultimate Builder bid with Carlisle TPO materials plus a 5 year warranty and 2 year maintenance contract. It was not the lowest bidder. The owner Robert Taylor was eager, friendly and explained his procedures clearly. He had done jobs with some neighbors and came highly recommended. The contract of $14,000 was signed August 3 but he did not get the project started till August 14 because of staff problems. The old roofing materials was removed completely and rotten decks were replaced. Because of rain delays the job was done finally on August 30. It took them actually 8 full working days to do the job. During the process some interior ceiling paint was damaged because of rain, and they did a good job of repairing and repainting the damages. Overall the job was very satisfactory. We call them back only one time for some minor loose ends.

We hired the Ultimate Builders, LLC (UB) in June 2010 to perform a concrete overlay (stamped concrete) on our 675 square-foot patio. We had existing pavers that were shifting and water was standing with every rain. Our initial preference was to avoid installing French drains and the UB came out, assessed the patio and advised that we could avoid installing drains by sloping the concrete overlay towards our driveway. Throughout the process, one of the owners (Taylor) was brought out to our house many times to discuss the progress of their subcontractor as well as the continual flooding of the patio (we became concerned after numerous rains that the sloping was not working). Near the end of the project (July 2010), Brennan and Taylor (co-owners) mentioned that the sub had ?serious issues? (he was on drugs and was stealing materials from our project) and that they had fired him. This was also after their subcontractor tried to extort money from us claiming that ?Taylor has run off with your money and I need $500 to finish your project.? We did not respond to the sub and since that conversation the project has been dormant. The UB brought out two additional subcontractors to assess the situation. Both agreed that sloping the patio to drain onto the driveway could not work and would ultimately put our home in danger of flooding if we continued the course of action without drains. Both also agreed they could not work on the patio and would need to bust the existing work out before beginning any additional projects. As of now, our patio retains water on nearly 50% of its surface and will retain that water for weeks until we (the homeowner) sweep all of the rain off the patio with a broom. On heavy rain days, the rain can get up to 2-3 inches deep. Prior to the UB beginning the project, 95% of the rain left on the patio would drain by the day following a heavy rain. The current state of the patio surface when it is wet is extremely slippery and highly dangerous, especially for children and the elderly. UB had assured us that they would texture the surface such that it would not be slick. I cannot allow my children nor the neighborhood children to play in the back yard when my patio is wet because of the imminent danger. We have had several children slip and fall, two of whom have hit their heads, when the patio was slick due to the coating that was used by UB. On August 6th we signed an agreement with UB that they would refund our $2400 deposit (which they did) and they were given ?30 days to best work on the solution to the bust out the work and removal of debris from the date of August 6, 2010.? The reason, to their own admission, was ?faulty workmanship performed by the subcontractor?hired by Ultimate Builders, LLC.? Brennan conveyed to us verbally that they would be removing their faulty work, but they were not in a financial position to do so in the beginning of the month so they would be in touch closer to the end of August. We spoke with Brennan on September 1, 2010 and were told that UB would not be performing the bustout, reason being that any other contractor coming in to work on our patio would need to perform an additional bustout to remove our preexisting paver patio, thus duplicating efforts. In addition, Brennan told us that the contract said ?to best work on the solution,? not to ?bust out completely.? Brennan then offered to cover only a portion of the cost of the bustout, a stark contrast to our initial agreement for UB to remove the faulty work that they (by their own admission) had performed. We spent $2400 and that was refunded (as mentioned above). However, in speaking with UB's additional subcontractors and during our due diligence, we will now be out of pocket an additional estimated $1200 to perform the bustout.
