The two guys were there 15 minutes did not even get up in the tree to do the service. They made 6 cuts did not treat the bark. They did pick up the limbs and left. We called the owner he came out and justified all but for 475.00 we expected alot better service. They never got up in the trees and trimmed all the stragglers, they left a whole limb in front of the house. It was the worst service ever and they took off 50.00. Would not recommend. We have since had someone come and they spent 5 hours cleaning up the tree and doing what was needed to be done. If you want to keep your trees do not use this company.

"My guys told me they were there for an hour and a half and I believe them. However that is irrelevant because we do not charge by the hour we charge by the job. I’m not sure what treating the bark means. If you are referring to wound dressing I will refer you to the ANSI 300 standard which all arborist should go by it is the industry standard, as follows -5.2.6 Wound treatment 5.2.6.1 Wound dressings and tree paints should not be used to cover pruning wounds, except when specified for disease, borer, mistle- toe, sprout control, or cosmetic reasons. If wound dressings or paints are used for cosmetic or other reasons, then materials nontoxic to the cambium layer shall be used, and only a light coating shall be applied to the wound surface. Getting up in the tree was not required on this job. We were there on time and did what we said we were going to do. Even though we did our job we still took $50 off for customer satisfaction. I guarantee you those trees will be there for years to come so I don’t know why you would say if you want to keep your trees don’t use this company our company is highly rated for a reason this customer is mad because they didn’t feel it took long enough and we didn’t spend enough time. When you spend 25 years learning a trade you tend to be able to do it quickly and efficiently. We went back and offered to have our guys come again and do a little more detail work this customer agreed and even said he would use us for the rest of his life if we came back and stood behind our work. then called us and said never mind. We did that once again for customer satisfaction even though we had already fulfilled our end of the bargain. The customer also told us the tree looked good when I went back and I told him I appreciated him saying that, his wife however was mad and I feel like that is why he felt the need to give a negative review. We are a professional company we do stand behind our work it is regretful they were not pleased. We always do our best to please customers."

Matthew trimmed my tree. He has 20 years of experience. He and his assistant picked up and raked
all the debris. He did a very good job. Tom, the owner, came by later to make sure they did a good job. I will hire them again and highly recommend Tomcat's Tree Trimming.

Tom and his crew were very professional and very easy to deal with and were especially great on such short notice. The tree cutters arrived promptly at 930 am to begin work. The tree was large, dead and right next to the fence bordering our neighbor. It was a precarious situation because half the branches were on our neighbor's side overhanging their backyard and there were several lines passing through the tree branches. They took out the branches overhanging the neighbor's yard first (they received permission to go into the yard and they cleaned up all the branches and debris that they cut down). It took about 9 or 10 hours to cut down the entire tree that first day. The tree debris movers came in promptly the next morning and finished the job by removing all the branches, and there were a LOT of them ranging from very large to very small just a few inches long, and hauled them all away. The 3 wires that passed through the tree made it an extremely difficult job and the cutters did a great job of preserving them. The old cable wire that came down hasn't been used in over 15 years. If we ever sign with a cable company that doesn't put up their own wire if and when we get service Tom said he would pay for it and I believe him.
Tom's crew worked like crazy to do a difficult job and they did an excellent job at a great price. We plan on getting him and his crew again to do more tree service for us. We recommend Tomcat's service without reservation. Great job!

Tomcat's service was outstanding. Tom and his crew arrived early, completed the job quickly and efficiently and cleaned up the area meticulously before leaving. No need to look at another Tree service. Everything involved with this service was perfect.
Tom the owner responded via my email request within hours. Set a schedule for an estimate and Tom called prior to appointment, arrive exactly on time. Estimate was exactly what I expected it to be, Scheduled a time to do the work. Rain delayed the actual scheduled service, but Tom called and moved the appointment to a prompt and convenient time. Tree was trimmed to our liking and clean up was exceptional.
Overall: We were more than please with Tomcat's Tree Service. Excellent communication, excellent end result.
Note: I had never used or met Tom prior to this tree service appointment, but I would Highly recommend he and his crew to anyone looking for Tree Service

We hired Tom based on his outstanding Angie's List reviews, and we were not disappointed. He responded to our voice-mail regarding tree-limbs that were growing dangerously close to a power line crossing our back garden straight away. He came by on a Sunday afternoon to have a look and give us a quote. He identified a second potential power-line problem close to the alley, and included this in his evaluation and quote. The quote was fair, and we hired him to take care of the problem. Despite the short notice, and because of the precarious limb/line situation, Tom fit us in the very next morning. He and his crew arrived punctually, did a professional job and thorough clean up. Our tree and power line are now clear and safe.

I submitted a request for a quote via their website. It did take a couple of days for Tom to respond as he had been working out of town. He called and scheduled a time to come give me an estimate and explained what work would be done. He called prior to coming over to do the work, arrived promptly, and completed the job in a timely fashion. Very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend his service..

Tom came same day I called, gave an estimate and scheduled a day to return and do the job. Tom gave special attention to a sick Bradford pear. He trimmed all trees, giving the canopy effect and lifting them up. They look so pretty. They cleaned all the rubbish and hauled it away. Tom was good to check with me if I was satisfied with each tree, and went back on his own to lift more off one of the pistachio tree, and yes it looked better. Tom initiated on his own and put poison around 4 of the tree that need help. I recommend this young man, and plan to use him to plant a tree this winter. He will be my tree trimmer as needed.

- Having grown up in Lubbock, I knew there was a wide range of selection when it came to tree companies. I joined the US Air Force, and was stationed in Idaho. This put me more than a day’s drive and thousands of miles away from Texas, which prevented me from helping my mother like I did when I lived in town. My mom had no clue about what these things cost, and I was not there in person to check the work and its quality. After a lot of internet time, and continual reference by word of mouth to Tomcat’s, I decided to give him a call to see what he had to offer. His quote was fair, and beat the competitors. He was even willing to meet with me at the job site the next time I was in town on leave to make sure that the job met with my approval.
Anyone can use a chainsaw and the other implements of the trade. It takes skill and knowledge along with superior customer service to separate oneself from all the rest.When a business does a good job for me I like to spread the word. Tom and his crew did a great job. They were very considerate of the neighbor's property, given that one of the large trees that was to be removed by TomCat's was over hanging their property. They performed the work quickly, efficiently and the service was competitively priced.

I am also a service provider on Angie's List. My companies name is A + Fence Repair & Installation. We have won the super service award for the years 2012 and 2013. We have used Tomcat's Tree Trimming and Landscape multiple times in the past. In fact, I have been doing business with this company for over 10 years. We often have them on my job sites to remove or trim trees or bushes that are interfering with a fence that we are installing. They have always been extremely competitive on their pricing. We have never had a customer that has had any complaint with their work. There have been multiple jobs where the customer has asked them to return to take care of other things besides the trees that we had them remove because they were always satisfied with the quality of their work. They are prompt and professional. You will not find a tree company that is as dedicated to their customers as Tomcat's.
