After obtaining quotes from multiple contractors, I decided to hire Campbell Remolding. Their prices were reasonable and Craig sounded like a reasonable and practical guy. However, my opinion changed about them at the end of the project. Campbell Remodeling did the bulk of the work which included but not limited to tiling, painting, flooring, light fixtures and cabinet improvements. They estimated approximately 4-5 weeks for completion of work. Sadly, it took then 9 weeks to get the job done and there were multiple days where none of them showed up. Some of that was attributed to poor communication and scheduling. I want to highlight one of the incidents that shows they lack of experience i handling simple tasks. As part of this project, they were supposed to install bamboo hardwood floors in the master bedroom that matched the flooring in our living room (Bamboo Toast). After providing them a sample and the make of the hardwood floor, they purchased hardwood flooring that was a similar make but a different color (it was pretty evident) and started installing it. Luckily we saw this huge mismatch and asked to stop immediately. They tried to convince us that it was the lighting and not the color of the flooring. However, after getting an neutral opinion from home depot, Craig was convinced that they purchased the wrong product. Despite this, he argued that he purchased Bamboo Toast and it was not his fault if the color was different. He insisted that I pay for removing the and reinstalling the wrong color flooring and also pay for the new flooring material. Long story short, I didn't have to pay for the additional service. During the entire process I could see his attitude transform from friendly to being unprofessional and rude.  Some of the other thing I want to point out is the fact that they are bad about keeping the work area clean. There was dust and debris in other parts of the house due to lack of insulation. They scuffed up the living room flooring from walking in and out of the house with dirty work shoes. we had to hire a professional company for cleaning the hardwood floors after the project was completed. My overall assessment is that they lack experience working on big jobs and their quality of work is not consistent with a professional contractor. i want to point out that the subcontractors he used for installing granite and glass shower were very good. It is disappointing that they could not live up to the quality and professionalism of his subcontractors.

Each time I have used Campbell remodeling, the most important thing for them was that I was satisfied with the work.
They are very professional, and make sure that the work is done exactly as you want it.  They keep you informed when unanticipated things come up, as they usually do, and communicate clearly how those things will impact the price and scope of the work. They have great skill with different materials, and had to do carpentry, intricate tile work, and floor preparation.  He also has a network of quality and reasonable subcontractors for things he doesn't do.

Craig and his crew were a pleasure to work with.  They came when they said they would come, the left the job site clean at the end of the day.  Their estimates were spot on and the few times we had change orders the pricing was incredibly reasonable.  His specialty is tile work, and his workmanship was excellent.  We really did the entire house, all floors, electrical, knocked out some walls, cabinetry, counter-tops, plumbing, shower doors, painting, appliances, literally the house was gutted and everything looks fantastic. Our project was pretty sophisticated and he even helped with the wiring and installation of all the big flat screens.  It looks marvelous.  I trust him and found his pricing to be highly competitive and pretty much the best in almost all areas.  The one time I didn't listen to him, we were sorry, but Craig still helped us with the solution.  I can't say enough about him and would recommend him to anyone with a small or very large project.  I saw one bad review and my guess it was because Craig saw someone doing something wrong and said something about it. He shoots straight and only knows how to be honest.  If you Campbell Remodeling you will be happy.

I am happy I chose Craig to handle our project. I appreciate his work ethic and how much he cared about our home and what we wanted. It was a good experience from start to finish. He provided the insurance certificate showing coverage for General Liability and that we were named on his policy for the duration of the project. He accommodated every request. My advice is to read every review, meet with potential contractors, ask what kind of contracts they use, and go with your impressions of that person. Word of mouth recommendations are always the best. Craig was the person, with his helpers, who did all the work. This was important to me instead of meeting a person who would send a crew that I might not be able to work with.

Craig and I met at my home.  He was prompt and professional. We discussed all the different ways the wall removal would effect the rest of the space. He was very professional and took several pages of notes. We talked about prices of different approaches.  While I didn't have a dollar amount quote, He wanted to work by the day at a daily rate.  I was worried about this and then realized this guy is booked out two months already. I will have to wait for him to get the job done. I suppose if I was in this business that would indicate I had plenty of work so after that the daily rate didn't concern me.  We communicated twice to confirm the day he would start.  He estimated 5 days. and in fact it took very close to 5 full days to complete. He was very communicative each step of the way.  We talked each evening after he was done for the day. He let me know when he arrived and when he left each day. Each day my downstairs was vacuumed before he left and very clean.  I had expected drywall dust all over everything. Pleasant surprise. The finish is very well done. It looks as though there was never a wall there at all. the paint job was challenging as I chose a very BOLD color and the lines are straight. Neat.
I was very please with the quality, attitude and price.  I will definitely use Craig again.
