There were 2 service men...one on the roof and one working from the fireplace. They brought in a large cloth floor cover and vacuum hose. (the vac itself remained outside) They kept everything clean and worked efficiently. I saw all the debris and some hardened charcoal chunks removed. They went up and down the chimney with a rotary brush 3 times until they were satisfied the chimney was clean. The total time was slightly over an hour. I felt they were very thorough and did a good job.

They first made sure all furniture around the fireplace was moved (to protect the furniture). Then they laid down a cloth tarp and proceeded to vacuum the ash and remove wood pieces already in the fireplace. Next they thoroughly cleaned the inside of the chimney and fireplace, with the vacuum continuously running to ensure ash and soot did not go everywhere. Once they completed they cleaned up and left no mess behind. Overall a great job.

Was very pleased with the service.  They also left NO mess behind, and never tracked any mess.
I was missing the gas jet key -- the owner left to purchase one for me & promptly returned. (AND he only charged me for the gas key & no additional charge for using his time and gasoline.)
Both men were courteous, informative and very professional!  I will definitely use them again!

The Chimney Sweep arrived on time, introduced himself and his partner then immediately went to work. They were efficient and knowledgeable about the trade and had many years of experience. They did an excellent job.

Yes, they were friendly, punctual and clean.  Our only problem is that their website, tylerchimneysweep.com, said they do masonry work so we wanted them to come and give a quote on rebuilding our fireplace and inspect the chimney pipe for any holes in it.
"Superior masonry work.   We'll repair or replace damaged brick work, take care of any structural issues, and we make sure that your chimney is stable and solid. You can count on us to get your work done right! We are a BBB member."

The son of the owner came but said they don't do masonry work.  My fireplace was visibly falling in.  An inspection was not necessary for that reason.  They did inspect the exterior chimney but that wasn't needed either.  That had already been done.
I asked for $20 off since
1. and they couldn't fix my masonry and that was why i had them come
2. they couldn't get in the attic
Also, they lost their camera previously and never bothered to replace it; so the pipe inspection is only the top and bottom few feet.
They were apologetic that I wasn't satisfied but insisted on the full price.

They squeezed me in when rain cancelled my first appointment.  He called when he saw that he was running late but arrived not very much past the appointed time.  They were thorough, worked hard, performed the service quickly and cleaned up after themselves.  There was not a particle of dirt or soot anywhere.  Very friendly.  Will never use anyone else.

The Chimney Sweep is a local family owned company that we will definitely be using again. The owner and his helper were very friendly and knowledgable, arriving a little ahead of schedule. We did receive a call asking if the earlier arrival time was ok, which was just fine with us! The owners attire, top hat and overalls, was an added affect I didn't expect! He didn't hesitate to pose for a photos when I asked if he'd mind! (His helper said that everyone asks!) Forgive me for not remembering their names, as I should've been more timely with my review, but they were wonderful!

My husband wanted an estimate of what it would cost to repair a crack in the chimney above the roof line.  The provider told us we could do it ourselves the next time we were on the roof.  Since my husband is 70 years old, he probably won't be on the roof much.
The provider spent less than 60 minutes cleaning and patching a place on the fire box, and the bill was $235.  Definitely too much for the little bit of work he did.  
     Also, the provider needs to learn some manners.  He made fun of my husband's hearing impairment several times in the short amount of time he was in our home.

I liked working with this company. They communicated well, and I feel like the price is fair. Called some of the other companies in the phone book, and I thought they were outrageous with their prices.
