Electrical Service
$3,800

We hired Allen Miller from Electric Doctors on 5/6/2013 based on an email contract where he came out and evaluated the work to be done including all rough in and finishing work for an addition we added onto our house for a total of $3800.  He was to put in the  switches, wiring, new box, light fixtures, etc starting on 5/7/2013.  The agreement was to pay upfront $1000 for materials and supplies;  $2000 upon completion of the rough in and $800 for finishing work when completed (including hanging light fixtures, covers on switches and receptacles, etc).  We paid cash with a signed receipt on 5/6/2013 for the initial $1000.  He returned

on the morning of 5/7/2013 to begin work, alone and told me his workers were busy on another job and he would be completing the rough in that day by himself.  He installed some of the 110 wiring, receptacles, outlets and switch boxes.

At the end of the day he said he would not be able to finish but said he would be back the next morning, 5/8/2013 to complete the work.  At this time he asked for another $1000 for more materials including the breaker box.

We paid him another $1000 cash with receipt.  The next day is when the excuses started as to why he couldn?t come out to finish the job.  He texted me on 5/8/2013 at 10:00 am and said his mechanic was almost done finishing his work van and then he would be on his way.  At noon, I got another text saying he was broke down.  I asked if he would still be out to finish the work that day and he said he would do his best but he never came or contacted me that day even when I had tried to reach him.  The next morning, 5/9/2013 he texted me to let me know that his other vehicle had issues with the battery dying and never

showed up.  On 5/10/2013 after texting him and trying to reach him by phone he gave more excuses about his work van

and said he would come over on Monday 5/13/2013 to finish the work.  When Monday arrived, after not hearing any

word from him, I texted him and called him at 11:00 am where I got more excuses about vehicle problems and he would be out Wednesday, 5/15/2013 ?For sure?.  On 5/15/2013 after calling him and getting no answer, he texted me back at 9:00 am to let me know he was still having vehicle issues and couldn?t talk to me on the phone at that time but assured me that he would then be here on Friday 5/17/2013 ?for sure? AGAIN.  On Thursday, 5/16/2013 I sent a text message asking what time to expect him tomorrow at which time I received no response.  After 9 am on Friday, 5/17/2013 I again texted him asking what time to expect him and got more excuses regarding transportation and ask me if I would give him till Monday 5/20/2013 and said he could be here "100% positive?, in which case at this point I offered to pay for a rental car and he never responded back.  Later that day(Friday) at 2:30 pm he again said he was ?positive? he could be here on Monday 5/20/2013.  Then on Monday 5/20/2013, I texted what time will you be here and he never responded. At 10:30 am I texted him again to let him know that if he wasn?t going

to show up I would no longer wait and expected a refund for work he did not complete and materials he said he had spent my money on.  He never responded nor answered my phone calls.  At 1:11 pm I told him I would be removing his name from my permit the following day and again got no response.  At 4:41 pm he finally texted me with the excuse he was having transportation issues still and that he would give me $500 back as a refund and that he had over $1500 worth of labor and material already in the job.  When I asked him how am I supposed to get my $500 back, he never responded.  On 5/22/2013, I texted him again to let him

know that I had another electrician come out and evaluate the work and materials and he said there MIGHT be $600 worth of material in the job Allen had performed and still he has not responded as of today, 5/29/2013.  I will be filing a complaint with TDLR and hope no one will hire him.  I will be suing!

They answered the phone the first time I called, offered free service call, and others companies did not. They were on time and were great to work with. They offered sugestions on where might be a good place to put the fans. Then they gave me a price to complete each item, told me how long it would take and then started that same day. They were faster than I thought but a good job was done. They cleaned up after they were done and even took the trash with them. Call them  (903) 749-2644  A+++
