My 2002 4runner was experiencing problems on the way to Houston, Tx.  When I couldn't risk it any further, I stopped in Wharton, TX (about 45 mins out) and called a number of service providers for me to take my SUV to.  Bear in mind, it was a Friday at 6:00pm and everyone was closed.  I called Kresta's Wrecker Service who is also listed as doing transmission work in the yellow pages.  He said while his shop was closed he'd stop by to take a look.  Arriving shortly after, he examined my 4runner throughly and explained the problem.  He stated that while I could leave it there I could also rent a truck and haul it back down to Corpus Christi. When I wasn't sure, he gave me his cell number and said to give him a call and he'll pick it up immediately.  When I asked how much for his time and effort he stated it was of no charge. When I insisted, he refused and said it was no problem.   He was polite, funny, and more so professional.  I would use his service again if needed.
