When I toured this apartment complex, it looked lovely. When I sat down with the leasing agent that explained the lease, she showed me how, if we had to move out early, we would pay a reletting fee of 85% of our rent. Then I moved in. On the first day, the apartment was dirty, I had to have the locks fixed, the cupboards in the bathrooms were so crooked I couldn't stand anything up, and they painted all of the kitchen cupboard interiors with an oil based paint that stuck to all of my dishes and ruined them. Then I walked around the grounds with my dog, and saw many things that I didn't see during the tour - dog waste everywhere, broken glass everywhere, exposed wiring on junction boxes, feral cats, racoon traps and all sorts of lovely things. The feral cats are one of the best parts - I truly enjoyed listening to them fight and scream during the night. The office has done nothing about them even though I've asked them to trap the cats. Maintenance is shoddy. One night the upstairs apartment's toilet broke and water started pouring through my ceiling. I called emergency maintenance for an hour and no one answered. I had to call the police non-emergency number to contact someone to fix the problem. I even had to go to a hotel over christmas because the neighbors are so noisy. Every time I try to talk to a manager, they are unavailable and somehow they never seem to return my call. So, I bought a house and went to give them notice that I am leaving. They are requiring that I pay out the term of my lease, and have been nothing but rude and unhelpful. So, if you like garbage, dog waste, broken glass, exposed wiring, noise, and rudeness, this is the place for you.
