Horrible! Computer was dropped off with diagnostic fee on November 16, 2017. Friendly's Computer held my son's computer hostage for FIVE MONTHS with only two phone calls generated from them...and REPAIR FAILED WITHIN FOUR DAYS OF RETURN! I volunteered to become involved with my son's computer repair due to their horrendous service, in spite of the fact that he has taken multiple computers and trusted them for years. I called and spoke with Rachelle, who states she is receptionist, explained issue, and requested to speak with owner/manager. As of May 16, 2018, more than six months later (and five months that they kept my son's computer), he has never bothered to call either of us. When my son made inquiries of other employees as to status of his computer, he was advised only technician working on it could assist him, and was only available on Monday mornings. On December 12th, my son was advised that the problem he brought the computer in for had been taken care of, but that other issues arose concerning keyboard that could not be explained or repaired. On February 6th, he was advised that the manager had authorized replacement of the computer, and that a new one had been ordered. The second, and ONLY OTHER COMMUNICATION by this company, came on February 28, 2018, stating that the new computer had arrived and it would take a couple of days to transfer over the hard drive/data. After more than a week of repeated visits and phone calls, my son was advised there was a problem with the computer and they returned it. He was told that another computer was ordered, but that the manager had cancelled it. He was then told that they were bidding on a computer. I advised my son to do his own online research to find something he would be happy with. He came up with three computers. On 4/26, I placed three phone calls to Friendly's computers and spoke with Rachelle requesting to speak with manager/owner, who was expected in at 1pm, "still in a meeting" at 2:15pm, and unavailable at 4:45pm. I told Rachelle that I felt we had been more than patient, and that my son located three other computers. She asked me to email them to her, which I did. In my letter, I stated that we were asking for a phone call from the manager/owner with plans for immediate replacement of said computer. Since they were not able to locate anything, my son researched and provided them three options that would be acceptable to them. I stated that I did not feel it was inappropriate at this time to ask them to expedite the process. I mentioned since my son works graveyard and sleeps most daytime hours that I would be advocating on his behalf. I left both of our phone numbers and did not here from them. I followed up with Rachelle the following day, and she had not opened the email I sent her the previous day per our conversation (really? a computer business?). She opened her email and put me on hold. When she returned to the phone, she stated that she did not know that the computer had been sent out for repairs, and was ready for pickup. My son went the following day to collect his computer. They released it to him after charging for the part. Four days after bringing it home, the computer charging port is loose and non-functioning. Additionally, the manager/owner has never bothered to call. Horrible, horrible service!!!!!!! BEWARE!

Told them I would get second opinion as far as repairs for the computer. They returned the computer case fifty with dust all over it. When I questioned as to why the computer cover was so filthy the employees response was "sir it's obviously very dusty back here." After returning home I then realized there was no computer charger with it when I knew for a fact it was in there as he even stated he did not need the mouse and the cord was only thing in addition to the computer he needed. They then attempted to replace computer charger with one in which they thought would work. Longer story short I was finally able to speak to the managed. My charger mysteriously popped up, and they gave me 10 dollars to dry clean the computer case, then tried to sell me an "in house refurbished computer." Thanks, but no thanks. I don't mind purchasing a new computer. But it will not be from this company, and it will never be brought here for repairs.

They did what they said but when got pc back the fan is very loud.  It's an Apple, was always quiet before.  Took back to them but they said couldn't do anything about it.
Response from FRIENDLY COMPUTERS
"Dear [Removed member name], I do not have a record of the issue with your fan and was wondering if you remember who you may have spoken to when you returned to discuss the fan. I know it had been 9 months between the time of your repair and the date you wrote the review and now it has been 11 months, so remembering who you spoke to may not be realistic. Did you bring the computer back 9 months after the repair and that's why your review of the service was entered that long after the repair, or did the fan issue happen at the same time as the original repair? I would like to research your issue and develop resolve for it. Thank you."

The tech came to our home and checked on the Mac that my mom uses on her computer desk.  When he realized much more time was necessary to get everything done he took it with him and then had it ready two weeks later.

The work was very complicated, but they were able to take care of everything for us. I had made the mistake before using another company who worked by remote, who I think ended up scamming me. They had managed to basically lock up my computer to where I was unable to do anything. After talking with Friendly Computers, they told me that they were familiar with the company I had worked with before, and how terrible they were. Friendly Computers were able to fix the damage that had been done, and get the computer up and running again.

Took laptop to them for repair, knowing it would be a big job since it would not boot up at all.  After a quick look, he admitted that it could be expensive and agreed that the computer was worth less than the repairs.  I ended up buying a top of the line refurbished Dell laptop that was light years ahead of our old computer.  He could have tried the repairs and hit me for a significant fee, but talked me out of that as he should have.  He did not try to sell me anything until I asked if he had any refurbished or repaired units for sale.  Very professional, although all computer repair places are very expensive now, starting at well over $100 to just open the unit.

I was not able to access computer using facial recognition or password. I was reduced to using the guest access tab, unable to access my files.  I called Friendly Computers, they were ready to send someone to my home the very next day,  telling me, Joshua would be the person coming.  Joshua was prompt to appointment, explained what was keeping me from accessing my data. He completed repairs, installed an improved Virus protection program, then cleaned up my laptop, also installed Virus protection program.   I was very happy to easily access my files and use my favorites tab to access websites I use frequently.   I  feel the cost was well worth the services provided.  I will use Friendly Computers in the future.
thank you.

It was a straight-forward job.  They were late in completing the job, and the final price was higher than the original estimate.  Aside from these issues, however, we had no problems with the work.

1. Within 2 days, F.C. notified me that my computer motherboard had a major failure. They searched around for a replacement motherboard, but it was too old and they were no longer available.
2. I decided to build a PC myself, but after surveying and pricing hardware and my available time, I asked F.C. to build a computer for me to my specs. The new computer was ready in a couple of days. It rocks!
3. Recently (late September), F.C. called to ask how things were going with the computer. Nice follow-up!!

I made the appointment on Friday they said Johnny would here at 1:00 on Saturday. He was here on time and after explaining my problem, he had it fixed in an hour. Some kind of program had installed on my computer and had changed my registry files. When he was done, all of my information and pictures were still on the hard drive and I could log on as before. My experience with Johnny and Friendly Computers was positive and I would recommend them and use them again.

I called this morning and made an appointment for tormorrow.  I got a call shortly after with an offer to have the problem worked on in the afternoon which I immediately accepted.  John was early and was very knowledgable with my issue.  It was definately not his first rodeo.  During the course of troubleshooting, John not only kept me up to date on his current actions but he also made a few recommendation on how to better protect from virus threats.  What Trend Micro could not resolve in 4 hours, John had our system up and running in less than 1 1/2 hours.  I am one happy camper.

I started to have problems with updates and streaming.  Being pretty much illiterate computer-wise, I needed a pro to repair my laptop.  The Geek Squad is always backed up, and I didn't want to wait 2 weeks to get repairs done.  The Friendly Computer folks were easy to find, and convenient.  I dropped the laptop off, told the young man James what was happening; he told me what Brian the tech would do and when he would call me. Brian called with details at the time that James said he would and finished the repairs when and as promised.  The computer works great now.  I'm completely happy with the services and the price was reasonable also.  I would definitely use them again and will recommend them.

I've used Friendly Computers folks twice now.  First time in the fall of 2010, it was a boot problem which I could not resolve.  The computer was ready for me the next day and only one hour charged to the job.

The second time I took it in was earlier this year.  They determined the problem was in the power supply.  They replaced the power supply, ran diagnostics and cleaned up of the computer.  It's been working fine ever since.

I was impressed with Friendly Computers as soon as I walked in the door last year! I liked how the place was so open and you could see everyone working. I also liked how I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I wasn't sure what was wrong with my computer, but they plugged in my laptop right there at the counter and in a few minutes they had it fixed and I was out the door! Because it was a very simple fix, they didn't even charge me and showed me how to deal with it if it happened again. I was impressed and knew I found a home for computer repairs from then on. Since that time, I now know Marlene and am so impressed with her character. I know customer service is important to them based on the rave reviews they get as I meet others who use their services, too. Oh, I am also going to be buying a used laptop from them for my daughter when school starts because now they are offering used laptops for around $300! Thanks Friendly Computers!!! =D

My computer was slow, slow, slow and had some other problems. I took it in, explained the problem. They called after two days and said it was fixed. They found some viruses and removed them and installed another virus check program. When I got it home I still experienced the same problem to a much lesser degree. We took it back in and they worked on it again. They next day we picked it up and it is working fine at this time. They have a 30 warranty on their work which is a good thing.

I think they were pretty good. They were prompt and informative as far as keeping in touch with me and letting me know what was going on. One person came to do the in house repairs. He called someone else in when he was having some troubles. I felt safe. He was very nice, clean, and professional. They seemed knowledgeable and I was pretty pleased with the service all around.
