Crystal Angel Cleaning Service

There was some confusion and miscommunication that was mostly my fault because it was my first time buying service through Angie's List. But they worked with me and did their best to fix the problem. When the ladies came to clean, they were prompt and thorough and polite. My house looked amazing. The special price was great.

No way they could clean like they should in such a small amount of time.

The ladies were on-time, friendly, and responsive. They did a good job, but it fell short of excellent. They wiped all the surfaces, but some of them still looked like they had smudges and/or streaks. They vacuumed but there was still debris on the floor is some spots. I was working on another project and didn't have to review their work and ask them to re-do it. I am sure they would have done the re-work if I had asked.

They arrived 30 minutes early which was fine on that day but might of been a bit of an issue any other time. Neither one spoke English but called their supervisor who I spoke to and explained what I wanted done. The supervisor was very friendly and quickly conveyed what I needed done. I had asked that they clean around things and instead they shoved stuff into drawers so a week later I'm still finding things where they don't belong. But they did a good job overall.

They were wonderful. They stayed till the job was complete. My house was very happy the were here.

Called, left a message, and they returned my call quickly and set everything up. Made arrangements for house to be opened and they gave me a list on everything they clean and they did it. When I did the walkthrough at the end of the cleaning I found an area I wanted cleaned a little better and they immediately took care of it after I pointed it out. Really good service. Glad I didn't have to do it.

They came right in asked a few questions and got busy with the cleaning. I have had other companies out to work in my home and I have felt like after they left I had a lot to clean after. I did not feel this way with this company. They went from room to room and they took there time. They paid attention to little details that others have missed before. We need the bathroom scrubbed and they did such a great job in getting them clean. (I have 2 boys and 1 girl living in my home at this time and it is hard for me to get my bathroom really clean. They really took there time and cleaned it deep and well. My kid clean but not like they did it. I was so happy when I went into the bathroom and it look,smelt great. My kitchen was very dirty because of all the rain we have had over the month they really did take there time in what they were doing in my home. It looked great! It smelt GREAT and I did not have to worry one bit about clean ANYTHING after they left that afternoon. The people that owners this was wonderful and they listen to what I needed and they got the job done. NOT GOOD! They did not clean one of my bathrooms. They left puddles of polish on several pieces of wood furniture. They left a sticky film on some of my wood floors. One of the beds was not made properly. I called them to and all they said was they were sorry.

This company has cleaned my home every two weeks for about 8 years.  They have always responded to issues or problems swiftly and amicably.  Recently there were two items broken and I called to speak to the owner and initially dealt with her daughter Crystal.  First they told me they would have to have the broken items back in order to file with the insurance.  I informed her I had already disposed of the first item because they had never requested the item back before.  This, as it turns out, was a new policy they had not made me aware of.  We worked through that, I thought, then moved on to the second item, which happened to be a glass no longer made by my dish manufacturer and only available on Replacements.com at a cost of $60.00.  Unfortunate.  After three conversations with the daughter and one with the owner/mother I thought we had the issue worked out.  However, when I called today to see why they didn't show up at my house yesterday I was told my keys and a check for payment of the broken items had been mailed to me two days ago.  NO phone call to discuss.  NO advance notification they were cancelling me.  Who in there right mind now a days fires their customers?  I didn't break the items and I'm not responsible for the price of the replacements.  Extremely disappointed in their business mindset and the handling of this issue.  I guess the moral of this story is:  Don't use them unless you just have really cheap things they might break.

I felt compelled to submit a review of my experience with Crystal Angel Cleaning Service after reading the negative review they received. I had an excellent experience with them. When I called to get an estimate I spoke to Linda and found her to be very courteous and professional. She explained exactly what services I could expect and based on the size of the apartment, gave me a firm price. The employees she sent arrived on time and did an outstanding job. My expectations were exceeded, and I even got my security deposit back from the apartment complex!  I would recommend them and use them again.

When I first called on December 18, 2009 to set up the appointment, the owner, Linda, told me that her many years of experience allowed her to give proper and accurate time and money quotes over the phone. Based on the sq. footage of my home she said that it would take 4 1/2-51/2 hours to do the initial cleaning and about 3-31/2 hours for the weekly cleaning. She claimed that the first cleaning would be a "spring cleaning" and that their style of cleaning was based on "military style cleaning". It did not matter to her that my home had been cleaned weekly by another service prior to contacting her because "no one cleans as well as we clean" and she insisted that I have the "spring cleaning" first. She listed many services that would be provided during the first cleaning which was part of why the cost was $120.00 versus the $65.00 price she quoted me as my weekly price once the first cleaning was completed. She claimed that I would receive a two person crew and that all of her people were very, very fast which is why they would be able to complete her long list in such a short time period. I set up an initial "spring cleaning" for December 30, a second cleaning for January 6th and then I was supposed to be worked in for weekly cleanings on Fridays starting January 15. These times were set due to her office's availability, they were not of my choosing. I would have preferred to have maintained weekly cleanings from the start. I had switched services after deciding I no longer cared for the service I was receiving from another agency. When this crew came in, my home had been cleaned weekly by Molly Maid for over a year previously. Due to holiday scheduling, my house had gone without a cleaning for 12 days and I do have 4 pets in the home. (2 dogs and 2 cats) The floors did have a lot more hair on them than they would on a normal cleaning, but I had also warned Linda of this fact. She had said that she just could not schedule me any sooner than December 30th and that the extra hair on the floor would be no big deal to her people. I have no carpeting on any of my floors, so pet hair from four dark-haired pets is very visible on my light colored tile floors. The crew arrived basically on time and they were friendly and professional in their manner. But, they did not provide the level of service Linda claimed I would receive both as far as how well items were cleaned and the specific "spring cleaning" list of items to be cleaned. For instance, she claimed they would take everything out of the kitchen pantry, clean the floor and neatly replace the items. The pantry was not touched by the crew. Only some blinds were minimally dusted, many were not touched, ceiling fans, light switches, doors, walls, cabinets in bathrooms all were not touched. I had to make them redo a bathroom floor because they had completely missed EVERY corner of the floor when both sweeping and mopping. Hair and dust was still present in 4 inch triangles of each corner. The island in the kitchen was not wiped down at all, nor was the bay window in the kitchen where canisters of food are kept. The shades of the bedside lamps were not dusted, furniture was not vacuumed. Other than the fact that they did wipe down the kitchen cabinets, this was at best a minimal weekly cleaning. This was definitely not the service Linda had claimed I would be receiving for almost double the price of a weekly cleaning.. They were supposed to arrive at 9 am. They arrived about 9:15. At 12:45 pm, 31/2 hours later, he came to me saying they were packed up and needed the check. I was surprised at the fact that they were done in 3 1/2 hours when the job was quoted as taking 41/2 to 51/2 hours to do. I called the office to see if the fact that they did it quicker changed my price. Linda completely freaked out on me for calling with that question. She claimed that her crew that she sent was the best crew she had and that was why they were able to complete it 1-2 hours quicker than quoted. (Yet, she originally said all of her crews were fast and that the 41/2-51/2 hour time frame was a fast time.) She continually talked over me and many times I was standing there holding the phone away from me and looking at her worker with an "OMG!" look on my face. You could hear her talking across the room when I removed the phone from my ear and she would barely let me speak at all. She thought I was completely out of line for thinking there could possibly be a difference in the price due to the quicker time. She was argumentative and combative and I felt very attacked during that phone call. I finally hung up with her, paid the money and sent the crew on their way feeling very defeated. After thinking about it, I sent her an email that night requesting a list of the items they were to have cleaned on the first cleaning and what is supposed to be covered on the weekly cleaning. I told her that I felt the service I had received was at best an average weekly cleaning and not the service she had quoted. I told her I was not happy with how our phone call had gone and was hoping that my questions and concerns might be handled better via email. My email was never answered. Finally, the day before I was scheduled for them to come again, I called her. I first asked about the email I had sent and she told me that the person that "did the email" for them had been out the week I had sent it. That does not explain why it had not been answered in the four days he had been back though... Anyway, I started to tell her what was in the email and then her story changed. She said she had received the email and had decided that I was no longer in her service area and that we no longer needed to do business together. I was shocked yet again. I commented that it would have been nice if she had let me know that since I had been expecting her crew at my home the following day. She then claimed I was not on her books and that she had no reason to answer my email. Then she stated she also did not want to do business with me for having "too much hair on the floor" and for "being one of those customers you can never satisfy". I am rarely speechless, but this woman made me be just that. I finally just said "this conversation is over" and I hung up the phone. It was obvious this woman was not someone that could be worked with, and being the owner of the company, there was no one to complain to about her behavior.
