Fantastic! Calvin came the same day called - said he was very busy but happened to be nearby. He quickly diagnosed the problem. He said that I might be able to get the replacement part free from the manufacturer of the system, gave me the info to call them and offered to return when the part arrived. I wanted the door fixed that day so I just decided to buy the part from him since he had it on his truck - can't get much more convenient than that. He fixed it quickly and my door was back in service. Calvin has worked on my garage doors previously and has fixed all kinds of problems. He carries a full stock of replacement parts on his truck so every time he has been at my home he has been able to diagnose and fix in the same visit. This man knows garage doors. His prices are reasonable and he is honest.

Mr White came as specified, performed a more permanent repair, and declined to accept payment.

Great service

The work went very well. Calvin White called me back and we set up a time for him to come to my house. He diagnosed the situation and identified several problems including a broken garage door spring and mis-aligned door tracks. He even fabricated one component on site. His work was systematic and he did not cut corners despite the heat in the garage. Then he lubed everything. The door works beautifully now. I would definitely use Bay Area Overhead Door again.

The service was excellent. Fix the garage door. It was better and stronger then new.

I was very pleased with Mr. White's work. He explained what he was doing and what he was looking for in the door operation.
It turns out I don't need a new opener.  I appreciated the explanations and have a much better understanding of how the opener and door function.

The old door and the new opener work like a Swiss watch now.  Calvin (the Owner) did a lot of "extra" work (at no additional costs) on the old door and tracks to realign and lubricate things so that everything runs smooth and quiet.  Very satisfied with the overall installation and would highly recommend Bay Area Overhead Door.   

Carlton was AWESOME.  He called at 9:10 for a 9:30 appointment to confirm and ask could he arrive early.  Once he arrived he worked quickly and did an outstanding job. Within 45 minutes, he installed a new spring and opening device, oiled and lubed all appropriate parts.  He was fair and he only charged what he quoted. (All others quoted double what he charged).

Just like the other reviewers say, he gives you 20 minutes notice and is on time. Great customer service!

He showed up on time, gave me his estimate and got to work. It took longer than originally planned, and he took time to condition and check all my other equipment. He's an honest man, and straight shooter, that does good work, as promised. Highly recommend.

I called Calvin on 4-15-15 and we scheduled the appointment for 4-17-15 at 9:30 a.m.  He called me at 9:00 a.m. and said he would be here in 20 minutes and he was.  He checked out the door and went to work.  He lubed & adjusted it and aligned the tracks.  He also reconfigured the top roller brackets.  And, the door is now working perfectly.   One of my remotes needed a battery and he replaced it for me.
I would highly recommend Bay Area Overhead Doors.  Very professional and knowledgeable.  If I have any more problems with my doors, he will be the one I call.

Prompt quality service!  I called Calvin, left a message and he returned my call within 15 minutes.  Fortunately, he was nearby and finishing a job, so he came right over to my house.  He recognized the problem with our garage door immediately and set to work.  He didn't try to sell my anything I didn't need, which I very much appreciate.  The job was finished within 30 minutes and I paid $75 for his labor.  So nice to get the door fixed within an hour of calling for service!

Calvin did excellent work. He did exactly as I asked. He showed up on time. He was very professional. He was an excellent communicator. He programmed the doors exactly how I asked. I was very happy with his service and I appreciated his work.

Calvin did a great job. I have used his services before about 10 years ago to install my garage door opener. He is very professional and more than competent. He is also very conscientious and cares about doing a good job. I would highly recommend him.

My Genie garage door opener has had a problem with the safety sensors. They did not work and the only way to shut the door was to hold down the wall button. I shopped for new sensors, only to find out they were not compatible with my older Genie. On the company website, they no longer produce or support the old sensors.
Calvin thought he'd be able to get new ones to work just fine. And he was right. That kept me from buying a new garage door opener. Now this one works just fine.
