I contacted Cody based on the Angie's list reviews and was not disappointed. He came out and diagnosed the problem and gave me viable options for maintaining the existing system or replacing it. His prices were very good. He was not pushy and left the decision entirely up to me. We decided to replace the existing system since maintaining the old one may last only a short period of time due to the age. In addition, since he is also a plumber, I had him look at my 2 - 20 year old water heaters and give me a price. Since we were going to replace the A/C and furnace, he gave me an excellent price on replacing the water heaters. Cody communicated well, called before he arrived and arrived on time. (did the work on a Saturday). His crew was professional and coureous. Once the job was completed he explained the new system, showed me the install on both the heating/cooling system and the water heaters and encouraged me to call if I experienced any issues. He truly is looking for lifetime customers, not one time sales. My water is hot and my house is cold. :) I would not hesitate to recommend Cody to family and friends.

I'm so glad I found Bay Area AC on Angie's List. I had three estimates done from various providers, and it was clear that Cody was the most knowledgeable and professional. His rates are very reasonable, which is one advantage of working with a skilled, smaller company. The larger ones bake in a higher markup to cover their overhead, and homeowners do not benefit from it. On installation day, he arrived early, and provided updates throughout the process. It took about five hours total, and then he provided a final tour of the finished project. He went above and beyond to ensure the installation would exceed expectations, and had clearly thought of several "what ifs" during the process. The A/C unit is running strong, and even though summer is here, we sometimes have to turn it off b/c it gets cold inside the house since the unit works so well!! Cody came to our house on the same day we called him. Our AC had stopped working the previous day. He quickly identified the problem and fixed it. I was very pleased with how quickly he responded and how reasonably priced his work was.

I had called my usual AC repair people when my AC fan started screeching and the cool air stopped flowing and they couldn't come out until Tuesday the following week. I then turned to Angie"s list and found Bay Area A/C. Cody was very profession and prompt. Cody came out the same day and diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. He installed the part the next day, on a Saturday, and the house was cool again. He came on time and calls to let you know when he is on the way. Then a few weeks later, I was smelling an odd smell under my kitchen cooktop. He came out and tested the gas line to make sure there was no leak. Cody was very thorough and professional. I will definitely be using Bay Area AC for my future plumbing and AC needs.

He came out on a Saturday after hours and replaced the capacitor and relay. After he left the unit stopped running and when we called him on Sunday he came back and fixed the problem. He gave us a reasonable quote on a new unit that we knew was in our future since the unit was almost 20 years old. Later that day he called us to make sure our unit was still running. We will definitely use him again and we highly recommend him to others.

Cody was very punctual, not to mention arriving the same evening after calling him earlier in the afternoon on a Saturday. He was polite and knowledgeable and helped figure out why the secondary drain pan was collecting water after investigating numerous avenues. Gave an estimate for some other repair work that was prior known to eventually be done. Was happy with his service.

Service was great. Our AC is back up and running. We will have him out to do more work next week.

Cody provided incredible service from the very beginning, even coming out on a Saturday afternoon to provide a quote! He patiently answered every question and was very flexible. His initial quote beat two other bids from Air Con and Weeks. After discussing the options for quite a while, he realized we were on the fence and he gave us plenty of time to decide. He even communicated by text when I had other questions to discuss with him. He helped us find out the age of our old system (23 years old!) and also pointed out that upcoming weekend was a tax free holiday for energy star appliances. He could have kept that info to himself and made an extra buck. The work was performed quickly and the system is working great. Overall it was an excellent experience. Give Cody a call. They were very nice and professional and came out late on a holiday weekend. They provided a bid for replacing the unit with the leak, and redoing all of the drain lines and shutoff switches. I believe he deserves his A rating and will refer him to my friends and family.

HE CAME OUT ON MEMORIAL DAY BECAUSE MY CENTRAL A/C QUIT WORKING. HE DTERMINED IT WAS CAUSED BY A BAD CIRCUIT BOARD IN MY CONDENCING UNIT. HE CALLED ME THE NEXT MORNING WITH A PRICE SINCE THE PART WAS UNAVAILABLE BECAUSE OF THE HOLIDAY. HE CAME OUT LATER THAT AFTERNOON AND REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE BOARD AND GAVE A VERY GOOD EVALUATION OF MY UNITS CONDITION. I AM USUALLY VERY SKEPTICAL WHEN REPAIRS ARE SO EASILY DIAGNOSED AND EXPENSIVE! BUT CODY PROVED TO BE VERY TRUTHFUL AND HONEST I WOULD DEFINETLY RECOMMEND HIM AND USE HIM AGAIN!!

I couldn't be happier to be honest. The owner, Cody, is a great guy. I never felt pressured or like he was trying to upsell me stuff I didn't need. I found out about Bay Area AC Heat & Plum. from my brother whose AC went out on a Saturday evening. Sunday morning, Cody was the only provider willing to come take a look at it, after church of course. For my job, the old compressor had been leaking for years and steadily getting worse, the condenser fan stopped working, the evaporator coil was leaking, the circulation fan bearings were shot, and the whole system was full of sheet rock dust. With it being a 14 year old system, I just decided to have everything replaced instead of band-aid fixing old equipment. Of five well known, and top rated local companies according to Angie's List, Cody with Bay Area was the best value apples to apples. Others tried to undercut him by selling a lower tier of equipment, but I had all my model numbers of what I wanted with me so I wasn't fooled. Cody and the crew was on time and worked vigorously in the attic for a full day pulling out the old and installing the new. Some things they did that I didn't even consider were redundant, double float switches on the drain pan, and a sightglass on the coolant line. They also ran a duct cleaning machine through to clean out as must sheet rock dust as possible. Even after the install, Cody personally took the time to come out weeks later after the weather warmed up to make sure my freon charge was EXACTLY where it should be. He even took the time to fix the broken top of my drain clean-out in the yard when he had some down time. Fantastic customer service and communication. No one else will ever touch this system as far as I'm concerned. Great guy, unbeatable value, fantastic service. What more could you want?

I ended up having a dead compressor and needed to replace the entire system which was about 12 years old. I initially called Air Tech but wanted to get a second opinion after receiving a quote from them for ~$9500 for a 14 SEER system or ~$12000 for an 18 SEER system. I called Bay Area AC Heating & Plumbing and Cody came to look at the problem. Cody did additional analysis that was not done by Air Tech and I felt more comfortable that I truly had a dead compressor versus a potentially smaller issue (bad wires, bad capacitor, etc.). Cody ended up installing a 15.5 SEER system (American Standard) which was lower than the 14 SEER price that I received from Air Tech. The crew from Bay Area AC Heating & Plumbing worked efficiently and ensured that everything was clean after they were done. It took about 8 hours from start to finish and the crew worked steadily until they were done. I would not hesitate to use Bay Area AC Heating & Plumbing in the future.

Cody is FANTASTIC!! Not only did he respond and come by the same day we called, he capped our leaking water heater to prevent further damage and saved us SO many headaches, it is impossible to list here. He is fair in pricing and his labor costs are well within reasonable. What made him stand out for us is he was one of three estimates we had coming out; and.he is the ONLY one that seemed concerned about the job and what we were doing. He showed us details of the process, gave us a line by line estimate AND capped the water heater that was leaking. Much to our astonishment, the guy previously not only just let that one go, but didn't bother to tell us how bad the leak was getting, or could get - ESPECIALLY - if we were going to have to wait overnight for the actual repair. He was on time, the work was done cleanly and efficiently. Cody was polite, professional, and friendly.

I have ZERO contacts or knowledge of any AC person so I went to Angie's List for help. REVIEWS for Bay Area AC Heating and Plumbing is what narrowed me down to contact them. Everybody gave great rave reviews for Cody so it gave me confidence and reassurance that I will be getting great service. I emailed Cody my issue and within minutes he replied back saying he will be willingly come by and take a look after his last job for the day. He came by at 7:30pm and worked on my issue until 9pm. He never gave up on finding out the issue even though it was late in the night. He wrote up a very detailed solution for the work that will be needed and gave a very competitive price. Cody is very prompt and diligent in his work. I can now say I have somebody to call on for any AC or plumbing issues. I will definitely recommend to my family and friends.

Our air conditioner stopped working on Sunday. We called Bay Area AC and Cody was at our house that afternoon. He worked very hard and was able to start the compressor and added Freon. The unit is eleven years old and works better now then it has in several years. Cody gave outstanding service and when we need a new unit installed Bay Area AC is the company we will call. Excellent. Contractor was honest and on time and very friendly. Service performed in a clean manner with communication to explain to me as it proceeded.

Everything went better than expected. Our AC had a faint odor and our unit has been periodically turning off when it got too hot. We asked him to inspect the evaporator coils to determine if that was the source of the smell and everything looked OK. He did a great job of explaining everything and talking through our options for the odor issues. For our unit reliability issues, he recommended us replacing the fan on the outside unit. He quoted us for the work but he also said we could probably get a better deal by using someone who serviced our brand unit since they can potentially get better pricing on the replacement parts. He referred us to someone else and we are currently in the process of getting our unit fixed. I highly appreciated his honesty and input on the situation. I would definitely recommend him to others for work.

We had just moved in to the new home we built and had an issue with one of our water heaters not producing hot water and an A/C unit not blowing cold. We contacted the warranty service number provided and not sure of who we would get or the quality of the work that would be delivered we waited. With pleasant surprise. We had Cody with Bay Area AC Heating and Plumbing arrive and he quickly found the problem and then fixed the water heater. he replaced a key part of the gas line and we were up and running with hot water in no time. He then provided knowledgeable advice on the issue with the A/C unit as well. His response, knowledge, and professionalism was not what I expected from a warranty contractor, in fact I would have not expected it from a high priced contractor either. His customer service and skill was so impressive I have now used him again to address problems with a Condo that we selling. I would recommend his services in either the plumbing or A/C world to anyone who asks and I would use him again without hesitation, in fact I have.

Cody was exceptional. He arrived before scheduled appointment, assessed the leak and then made recommendations to fix the issue. He kept the customers needs and interest at heart and then provided a solution to the issue. His candor and customer centric approach was a breath of fresh air and a welcome relief in a world where every one is pushing the sale and then adding extra to it. His knowledge of multifamily dwellings was excellent and he was able to not only determine the issue, afford a solution, but was knowledgeable on which party bared the responsibility to have it fixed. On 4/25/2015 I contacted Bay Area AC and Plumbing to setup an appointment to determine why my upstairs unit would not come on. When I called Cody answered the phone and was very professional. I explained my issue and shared that I had some fence work done and that maybe it could be a wiring issue since the AC connection was mounted on the fence and maybe a wire was pulled loose. He indicated that would be unlikely, he was booked on the 25th, but offered to come out after hours that evening. I told him I had a previous commitment and could be home and that my issue was not critical since it was our upstairs unit and we did not used the area much. I suggested he schedule the service call for the following Monday And call me with a time. At approximately 1:00 p.m. that same day (the 25th) Cody called and said he was ahead of schedule and if I would be available he could arrive at 2:30, I told him I could be home. Cody arrived on time he was very polite and displayed a very professional appearance. He quickly checked the outside unit and determined the problem was not with that units connection and stated it was something in the attic, which honestly I didn't think was likely since no one had been up there. Once in the attic, Cody located the issue within a minute. There was a switch ( basically a light switch) that controlled power to the outside unit. He turned the switch on and the outside unit came on. Like many people, we have been taken by not so honest service companies including AC companies in the past, what was so impressive was the Cody was completely honest about what he found and did to solve the problem. I hate to say it but some companies would have taken advantage of the situation and would have very likely pointed to a switch or capacitor as a problem just to increase their revenue. Cody took the time to clean the outside unit from leaves and dead lizards in the connection panel and he also poured Clorox (which I provided) in my AC drainage pipe in the attic. He charged me $38 dollars for his service call. I will use Cody again and will recommend him to friends and family!!
