Bay Area AC Heating and Plumbing LLC

Cody was extremely professional upon arriving, and took care of my Heat and A/C units very quickly. He gave me his honest opinion of it's condition and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need (unlike some of the bigger named companies in the area). I will use again for any future Heating or A/C needs.

I thought I had a leak of freon. I heard a high pitched noise from my outside compressor unit after blowing fresh grass clipping away. My fear was I blew a rock or nail into to unit and caused the leak. I called Cody and he came out the next morning. I expected to pay $2500 for a new outside unit. Cody replaced the inside evaporator coil in September. False alarm. The unit is fine. Cody didn't charge for checking the unit out since he had recently worked on it. I'm convinced Bay Area A/C is honest and dependable. Cody has my trust for any heat / AC or plumbing job I have.

They came out, blatantly lied and deceived us saying we needed an entire new air conditioning. They said it was unfixable and out of warranty. I believed them. They ran a $9000 credit limit on my wife, when I told him not to do. As they were coming back to the house, all my neighbors were saying, "No, no. We bought the house around the same time. You still have a warranty available. So don't let him do this." I said, "Okay." So, I called my builder. He was like, "Yeah. You actually have a warranty for 17 more days." So, I told him, "Do not touch my house. Do not touch my air conditioning." He had already put it in, without my permission, without me saying anything, without me giving him permission to put the air conditioning in. He put the whole thing in my house, when I told him, "You need to remove every bit of your property from my house or I'll have you arrested for trespassing. " He didn't pull a permit to do the work before he had started on my property, which is required by law here in the State of Texas. He wasn't even onsite when he was doing it. He had a sub-contractor do it. When he pulled everything out, he messed everything up so bad, it cost $250 to get somebody come back in here to fix his issue. This was after they had already spent four hours here working on the warranty to replace a part of the unit. I contacted him six times for him to take care of what he messed up because the A/C company that did the warranty on it, did the best they could, but he did such a horrible job on it that some of the things didn't come under warranty because it was more of a workmanship issue. So, he still is yet to take care of everything. He still is yet to do anything. It has just been a nightmare. He is an awful criminal. I have already filed a complaint with the Licensing Board up in Austin. I don't recommend him to anybody, except to the police. He is very good. He is an incredibly awesome snake oil salesman. He was very nice, very kind and very professional until I called him up on the stuff I didn't need. He comes across very, very nice until you dig a little deeper and say, "Why do I need this? Do I really need this?"

This was my second time to use Bay Area A/C services. Based on the excellent quick service on my A/C last summer, I contacted Cody for a check of my heating systems in the Fall and to do a planned follow up cleaning of my outside A/C unit. I also decided after many years of use (30+) to replace my manual thermostat with a digital thermostat. Cody arrived on time per agreed appointment and installed the thermostat ; checking heating and cooling operations. He and his assistance cleaned the coils on my outside a/c unit. He also checked out the heating operations; all was good. And for good measure added clorox to my drain in the attic. He also swept out my inside air intake and discussed the need to replace my a/c filter. I was lax on that and replaced it that week after his visit. All this work was done in less than two hours. I wouldn't hesitate to use Bay Area A/C all my future A/C Heating services. Also based on his reliability I most likely would contact him for any plumbing work I don't choose to do myself.

I found Cody's company by using Angie's list and noticed his 832 area code and his Alvin address, so I figured he probably works in our area allot. I called Cody about 11 am on Tuesday Nov 24, just as the Thanksgiving holiday was ramping up. I explained that our hot water tank would light, but then cycle off in a few seconds. Consequently we had no hot water. Cody said he was only about 3 blocks away, since he works in the Bay Area a lot, and could be over as soon as he finished his current job in about 1 hour. Cody and his helper showed up in an hour and confirmed that it was the controller that was bad, but since the hot water tank was 12 years old that it would be best not to replace the controller but instead to purchase a new hot water tank. I already knew that this was the case since I looked up the purchase date and I knew that hot water tanks usually have a life expectancy of 12 years. Cody also explained that the vent of the old hot water tank had a single wall and that current code required a double wall vent. Cody gave us an estimate and explained the warrantee. Despite the Thanksgiving holiday being in 2 days, Cody and his helper installed the new heater the next day, on Wednesday morning, as scheduled. We really appreciated having hot water again before Thanksgiving. Cody and his helper were very easy to work with and we plan to ask them to bid on other plumbing, heating, and air conditioning projects in the future.

Did not trust the guys recommended by my home warranty, or want to wait on approval, so called Cody at Bay Area the Thursday before a long weekend. He had serviced my AC in the spring, and given me a list of options and prices should the 18 year old unit finally die. It did, and he used the price he'd provided the previous spring and came out the very next day to replace the entire thing! You can finance through him in no time flat, which was very helpful! I love this guy! Honest, neat, professional. HIGHLY recommend!

Cody was quick and professional. I placed the call about 8pm Saturday on a holiday weekend and he returned my call the next morning, and came out that night. The part was under manufacture warranty, but he had to travel into Houston to get the part the following day. Will use again for any a/c or heating needs.

Cody came out to check my system because I have had trouble from time to time with it quiting and high energy bills. He was very honest about was needed and we will be able to extend the life of my AC a little longer until I am able to replace it. When the time comes I will use his service to buy a new furnace.

Cody arrived early with a helper. Pointed out some things we were not aware of which was helpful. I was please with the professionalism. Gave me a follow up call the next day as promised.

So, my shower and commodes were backed up so I called Bay Area AC Heating and Plumbing. Cody came out in 30 minutes after I called him on a Sunday night at 6:30. It was raining and during the World Series so I as very surprised by the response time. Long story short, he was very professional, polite to my family, dressed very well, and unclogged my main drain and got me back up and running. He had a great attitude and didn't act like he resented having to go out on a Sunday. What can I say? Excellent experience with Bay Area AC Heating and Plumbing. Thanks Cody! Saved me on a Sunday night.

Cody was knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to show me how to maintain the unit and answered all the questions I had. He even fixed a small leak I had in my toilet for free. I would certainly call Cody again for AC and plumbing needs.

Cody is awesome, period. He's punctual, knowledgable, professional, polite, personable, and has significantly high customer service standards. Hands down the best AC & plumbing service experience I've had in the past 10 yrs of homeownership. As long as he's in business he'll be our "go to" AC technician and plumber.

We called early and he was able to come out later that day. Cody was prompt and professional. He checked out our relatively new AC unit and discovered the reason it wasn't working. He replaced the capacitor, which was still under warranty and just charged us just for the service call minus the coupon we had from Angie's list.

Cody responded to my call immediately. Once the problem was diagnosed, He gave me an estimate for the repair with a new part the next day. He got the part and set the best time for me to do repairs. He showed up on time and was clean, helpful, willing to explain and answer questions and went to great lengths to help me. I'd say he was very responsible and professional.

Cody and Bay Area AC Heating and Plumbing did a complete system change out. After returning home late on a Sunday to discover the AC not working we called Cody. He promptly called us back and made arrangements to come out the next morning to check out the equipment. He was prompt and quickly identified the fact that the blower motor he had told us previously was going out had finally quit working. On a prior visit we had the freon recharged and opted to see how much longer we could get out of the system, 18 years in total. He gave us options on replacing the blower motor and recharging the freon or replacing the system. It was a no pressure presentation; basically here are your options let me know what you want to do. After researching brands the next day we decided to go with an American Standard 5 ton 14 Seer complete system change out. Cody and his team were out the following day on time with the new system. They were very professional and answered any questions we had. Cody even returned the first coil because we didn't like that some of the fins had been bent even though this happens to every unit and does not effect the performance. Cody took the time to show me where freon had been leaking and why. After completing the install everything was reviewed with us and any questions answered. During the review we noticed water in the water heater overflow pan. As it was a relatively new water heater it did not appear to be the tank so his crew adjusted two vents on the roof and added silicone to prevent possible rain getting in to the attic. All the old equipment was cleaned up and hauled off. All in all, high quality work at a fair price from an honest businessman. Hard to find these days. We will definitely continue to use Bay Area.

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING! Cody really took the time to explain to my husband how to maintain the system. He really went above and beyond with his patience and professionalism. He came out after hours and was extremely thorough.

I normally don't write reviews but felt this was the time to start. Cody was a joy to work with. I liked him personally and professionally. My experience ? Cody did exactly what he said and at the time he stated. I did a little research and believe his price is reasonable. He may not be the cheapest but uses the best brands, personally oversees the work and provide a true value to his customers. I will go back to Bay Area for any needs I have with AC or Heat.

Cody Haley called me within 1 hour after I bought his deal on Angie's List for "$49 for Emergency Diagnostic Service Call - Out for Nights and Weekends Plus $49 Credit on Repairs"! After he heard about our situation with the A/C not cooling off the air in the house, he came to our house within 2 hours after my purchase and service request, although Angie's List website was showing the earliest appointments available on the next day!! Cody obviously knows that a broken A/C cannot wait until the next day in the middle of the summer in Houston, Texas, and he came to our house at 9:00 p.m. in the evening to provide the emergency service!!! I highly appreciated that as from my previous experience with other providers I was not expecting such a quick response. Cody inspected our 5 ton A/C system and the evaporation coil and found small leaks. He offered 2 solutions of the problem: either to install a new 5 ton box coil, or to add enough 410A Freon to make the system cool the air for a while. I chose the second, faster option for a quick fix, and then Cody patiently added 10 pounds of 410A Freon into our outside unit and worked on this until the system got stabilized and he verified that the air in the house started cooling off. He charged me a very reasonable price for the new 410A Freon and applied the $49 credit from his coupon toward the total cost of the freon, which helped with the expense. Cody was very knowledgeable, professional, responsive, punctual, and thoughtful, and he exceeded my expectations for an emergency A/C service. I will strongly recommend him to all of my friends and neighbors, and I will definitely call him the next time we need help with our A/C system. THANKS Cody!!!

Once again Cody came through for me. I had an air condensing unit issue on labor day weekend sunday.in the evening time, Fortunately I had Codys number. I was not expecting a call back from him till Tuesday being it labor day weekend. Well, within a half hour he called me back! I told him what I had and he offered to come look at it on Monday, the next day. Remember, the next day Monday is labor day....LABOR DAY FOLKS!! told me he'd be at the house between 0900-1000. Monday came and he was right on time. He troubleshooted the condensing unit and came up with a solution to the problem. Done! one service call and he solved my problem. Thank you, Cody!

Very professional and quick! Received call back within 30 minutes of scheduling service request online. 30 minutes later Cody was at our house with a diagnosis. Made a quick repair and he was on his way with one happy customer.

Cody came out the same day for two separate problems on an older A/C unit when it stopped cooling. He arrived promptly when he said he would be there and was very willing to talk through the problem. He did a full system check after replacing the first part that went bad to be sure everything was in working order. Several months later a different part needed to be replaced and he came out right away to take care of that problem. He gave a warranty on the work that was done. When we need to replace the the A/Cs within the next year or so we plan to use Bay Area A/C, Heating & Plumbing for this work. The main reason I would recommend this company is that Cody takes the time to explain all the options so you can make the best decision. Cody Haley is in business to make customers for life and I would definitely recommend him to friends and neighbors.

He explained what he was doing, and we discussed the alternatives for permanent repairs in the near future. Cody is thorough and highly professional in his work and his customer relations. I am so glad we did! Within 6 hours of my phone call Cody had come out and repaired our unit, with a warranty on the new part. His prices were very reasonable, and his professionalism and responsiveness were at the top of what I experienced during calls to multiple companies today. He also offers plumbing services, which we will definitely be trying out next. Highly recommend this professional!
