Terry and his team did a great job of resurfacing existing hardwood floors and adding additional hardwood floors in the Master Bedroom. The results were excellent and completed with the minimum of dust and inconvenience. I would highly recommend their work to anyone.

This is my second time using Adore Hardwood Floors. Both times I have been extremely satisfied with the jobs done. I refer to the owner Terry as “The Miracle Worker.” He is excellent at what he does as well as being super nice, easy going, reliable, hardworking and a great communicator. My first experience was in 2014 when I had the hardwood floors in my 2300 sq ft house refinished. Unfortunately, I used a different company first and they completely butchered my floors, left pits and divots everywhere, slopped on stain so thick that the wood grain was not visible, and to make matters worse (if that’s possible...) they stain had bubbles everywhere. Adore Hardwood Floors came and completely fixed and restored my floors (from 1950) back to their original glory and beauty. I still can’t believe they could salvage them, but Terry and his crew are experts at what they do. Fast forward to September 2019, we had a drain leak in a wall from the second floor leak under the hardwood parquet floor in my office. The floor completely buckled and had to be torn out. Unfortunately, this floor was originally handcrafted in 1951 and you cannot purchase this flooring anywhere. It doesn’t exist, because it was custom made when my house was built. I was heartbroken and stressed out. I did not want to install anything that would not match, nor did I want to have different flooring in that room, much less replace all the hardwood flooring downstairs. I decided to call Adore Hardwood Floors for help and advice and I’m so glad I did! Terry came to look at the job. He immediately told me it was white oak and that if he could find the wood, he could hand make me a new floor to match the rest of my flooring—and that’s just what he did! He located the materials (which are scarce) at a supplier and procured them. After he received the materials, he and his team painstakingly recreated my floor from scratch. It was over 1000 pieces that had to be cut, glued, clamped, and sanded. I’m amazed they could do it, but this is a highly experienced company with expert craftsmanship. After the floor was built, it was time for the installation. They started on 12/27/19 and finished everything on 12/31/19. The install involved cleaning the old residue and glue from the subfloor, gluing in the new floor, sanding, staining and finishing (sealing) the floor. It was another miracle performed! You cannot even tell the floor was replaced. To say I’m happy is an understatement! I’m truly in awe of their skills. They started work everyday at 7:30am. There is no waiting around for them to show up. Adore Wood Floors, owner Terry and his staff are the ultimate professionals. Do not go with anyone else (I learned the hard way the first time!) Even if you have to wait for them to put you on their calendar, because the have other jobs they are doing first, wait and do not trust anyone else to do the job. This company has more than 30 years of experience and they are the best their is!

Terry was excellent to work with. He was responsive, courteous, and very knowledgeable. He did a fantastic job replacing our damaged hardwood floors. Would definitely recommend.

Terry was on time, did his work efficiently, was very knowledgeable about wood flooring and did his best to match up the size and type of hardwood boards needed to fix the damaged spots. The spots he repaired now blend in nicely with the floor. which is a pine from 1930. Not surprisingly, he is a very busy man, but was able to fit me in within the time frame I had. He made several visits, first to see the wood flooring and the damaged spots, next to come make the repairs, and then again a couple of times because I found one more spot of termite damage that had been hiding under a piece of furniture. He is a great guy, friendly, quick and knows his work really well. I highly recommend Terry to anyone who needs help with a hardwood floor. I am very happy with the results and the price was reasonable too!!!

Terry is a professional that I didn’t think twice about hiring, I trust him completely because over 10 years ago he installed the original wooden floors in my house. Unfortunately Harvey hit and I had minor damage to the dining area, so I called Terry. He did a wonderful job of repairing the floors!

It turned out great. He was knowledgeable, he was pretty prompt, he was professional, he was punctual and he was competitive with his price. I would recommend him to a friend definitely. In fact, I’m going to be doing further hardwood restoration and I will be calling them.

The work went very smoothly. I had a tight time constraint, and Terry was very kind to accommodate it. He finished the work quickly and with high quality. Terry was very easy to work with. I had a few pieces of furniture in the living room that were supposed to be removed before he started the work. I was not able to do that. He and his friend moved them to the garage and did not charge me anything. He also fixed a small problem on the wood floor on the second floor and did not charge me anything. The floor now looks beautiful.

Terry is very professional, easy to get along with, and does great work.  I used him before.  He was superb then and also now.  He is near the top echelon of his craft.  A true professional.

Great experience!  Terry was very responsive, and the projects turned out even better than we hoped.  In addition, Terry was very patient as it took a couple different visits and a period of months before we were able to decide on the work to be done.  Would definitely call Terry again if we had any hardwood floor (or subfloor) needs.

I like to tackle a DIY home improvement project over the holidays if I'm not traveling, and this year I decided to tear out the carpet in my living room, liberating the beautiful 1950s hardwood trapped beneath. I had performed this same project in the master bedroom a year earlier with pretty good results. Unfortunately after a day of sanding with a rental sander it was obvious that the floor in this part of the house had much more discoloration from years of wear and tear. A more powerful drum or belt sander would be needed, which I do not have the skill to use. That's when I called Terry Davis of Adore Hardwood Floors.
Within an hour of my call Terry was at my house, and a couple hours after that I accepted his proposal. He made time in his busy schedule to bail me out of my stalled project and began work the next morning. By that afternoon the floor looked pristine, all the discoloration had been sanded out. The results were so good we decided to forego staining, which we initially thought would be necessary to mask the damage. I opted for acrylic finish to match my previous work in the bedroom. The completed floor looks fantastic and I couldn't be more pleased.
Terry is a master at his trade and is friendly, professional, and easy to work with. I plan to hire him again for the last two rooms that still have carpet.

We don't often write reviews but our experience with Terry Davis of Adore Hardwood Floors was so good that we want others to know. Our house flooded due to a ruptured galvanized steel water supply pipe while we were out of town visiting a relative dying from brain cancer. The damage was severe and required that we replace all of the hardwood floors in the house (2,000 sq ft). The general contractor we found through the insurance company used a certain flooring company for all of his jobs and we agreed to allow that company to replace and refinish the floors. That company did not do a good job with the sanding, staining or coating with Bona Traffic water based polyurethane. We decided that we needed a new company to start over with re-sanding the floor back to bare wood. We were lucky to find Terry Davis/Adore Hardwood Floors. He came to the house quickly after we called for an estimate and when requested, returned a second time to discuss specific problem areas. Terry worked by himself and spent every day refinishing the floor for about 2 weeks; Saturdays and Sundays included. The only day he did not work was Thanksgiving Day. He was very meticulous and was able to completely transform our floor so that now it looks like the floor we always wanted. The sanding defects left by the previous company are gone. Staining is uniform and looks richer that the previous job. All blotchy areas are gone. The topcoats of Bona Traffic HD Semi-Gloss look great. Now the floor makes the whole house look better. I have never hired a contractor who worked as hard as Terry Davis or paid as much attention to detail. If we ever need hardwood floor work again, we will call Terry.

Art was punctual and efficient.  He had a lot of experience and went out of his way to do the job correctly.  We had one closet to finish because the last contractor went out of business and Adore floors helped me out to install the remainder of the flooring.  They did a fantastic job and I would definitely use them again for any new jobs for hardwood or laminate flooring installs.  We ran out of toe board and Art even came back the next weekend to finish the job.  True professionals!!

Terry Davis and Golden we're fantastic! Terry showed up for initial consultation exactly on time, was professional, honest in his feedback and personable to work with. Terry provided me with a reasonable estimate, provided me with stain options and kept the work site clean each day. When I requested help with the stairs, he promptly provided an additional estimate and was very flexible in scheduling around other contractors working in the space. It was obvious that Terry and his team genuinely love what they do, bring a high degree of expertise and integrity to each project and can be counted on to deliver! I would absolutely use them on future projects and recommend them to others!

Couldn't be more pleased with the results. This was a small update to a dated condo and the results really made a huge difference! Two thumbs up!!
