TNT Foundation Repair

The work was done for the GC that remodeled the house before selling to me. Turns out TNT Foundation had put two of the new piers directly through the outgoing sewer line completely blocking off the pipe. When this was brought to the GC and subsequently TNT Foundation's attention there were many apologies and assurances that they would make this right and would file under their insurance. I kept the GC and TNT in the loop on everything that was going on with the findings and potential repairs. When I sent the invoices over for them to pay for the repairs the GC said that TNT Foundation was not going to cover the cost of repairs as it fell outside of the warranty and then told me to direct all further letters/calls to his attorney. I continuously asked for the insurance claim information so as to give the adjuster all of the info, I was met with radio silence. Ended up having to hire a lawyer and sue the GC who turns out only filed a claim after being sued. The work is supposedly under their warranty, but TNT Foundation Repair has been abrasive when I was able to get them on the phone and then continuously avoided my phone calls to come out to take a look about further issues with the foundation. The work itself was clearly poorly performed and the subsequent avoidance of following through on their warranty would lead me to advise anyone contemplating working with this company to go with a more professional and competent repair company.
