My wife and I saw that there was a $35.00 service charge call, but no reference was made to an add-on cost of $89.95 or call that $90.00 for diagnosis. This huge diagnosis cost plus the extra cost of the quoted amount of R410 really shocked me. Here is what the men did to acquire the $189.95 or call that $190.00. Checked system, said I should clear out the landscape which I am accomplishing The contractors checked the connectivity at the compressor, found no connectivity, checked the house fuze which was okay, then pulled the outside fuze that showed no connectivity. The fuze was pulled and reinstalled. with the connectivity, the system activated. In this process the lead contractor said I needed some R-410, maybe 1 - 2 pounds at a quoted $35.00/pound price. I said okay if it was needed. The contractor's assistant said that they added 3 pounds, not just 1 or 2 pounds. I never did not see a reference to the amount actually added, only what was said.
