STAY AWAY FROM PRO-TECH HVAC SOLUTIONS (AND CANTEX ROOFING AND CONSTRUCTION, TOO).  Under an insurance claim for major hail damage, Pro-Tech HVAC Solutions ubmitted a bid on 1/4/2012 to my insurance company to replace my outside A/C units with Trane units, but Pro-Tech didn't do their due diligence.  They installed these Trane compressors that use 410A freon with indoor air handlers that use the older R22 freon!  These units (and freons) are incompatible as the 410A Trane system produces up to 500 psi versus the air handlers inside the house that only operate up to 225 psi.  Another company caught Pro Tech's mistake when they came out to my home to perform annual maintenance. Despite bringing this matter to the attention of the general contractor (Kirk Loftin) and him acknowleding the problem in two emails back to me saying he and Jeromy from Pro-Tech would come out to my home, neither Pro Tech (Jeromy Puckett) nor Cantex LLC. Roofing and Construction (Kirk Loftin) would come back out to my house to rectify their mistake.  So now I have leaking coils in my indoor air handler due to the system incompatibility issues. Despite numerous attempts to re-contact Kirk Loftin, he failed to return any of my emails or text messages.  AVOID PRO-TECH AND AVOID CANTEX ROOFING AND CONSTRUCTION!

"I'm sorry for you're problems. We as a company would rather install a complete system factory matched. In your case I personally talked to the manufacturer Trane and was advised that the indoor coils were compatible with a modification by adding a R410A TXV. The insurance company would only approve the condensers (same grade that were replaced) and modifications not complete systems. Any upgrades should have been discussed with you with your approval to upgrade the complete system over and above the insurance approved repairs. We try our best to do what is the best for our customers. I know it's been three years since we installed the condensers and just now having problems with the evap could leaking. It's very common to see freon leaks in coils from 6-10 yrs old. I would like to speak to you on this matter. Sincerely William Morris 8173411248"

The men that came to do this were very clean and did a perfect job of getting the old unit out and the new unit in. They answered all my questions to my satisfaction and I was very pleased with the outcome of their work.
