They did and excellent job of designing and building our pool.  Greg made suggestions that made the pool look amazing.  They installed did upsell me by installing LED lights.  They charged me for a rock wall that was supposed to be included in the bid.  Overall we were very happy with the pool and rock work. 
I did have a problem with calcium leaching out of the spa.  Greg has promised me for a year and a half that he would seal the rock.  I have given up and will get someone else to do it.
I would use them again, but would make sure the contract is better and I would not plan on them following up on maintenance. 

The Karbo brothers were easy to work with but problems started showing up with my pool soon after completion. The soil in this area is difficult to work in (high clay content) and I warned them about it. Within a month of completion cracks showed up in my pool due to soil contraction, and the deck rock work has pulled away from the coping for the same reason. The cracks have continued to grow over the last 10 years although I can't determine if they are just in the gunite or all the way through the concrete shell. 
After a certain point the return calls became more difficult to obtain and I got the sense that to try to have them make it right would be more trouble than it was worth. 
They seem to be nice guys and the price is good but I would not reuse them and I have never recommended them. 
Caveat emptor.

We dealt with the owners - straight-forward men who know their business.  They don't coddle you, but they tell you the truth and stand behind their word.
They worked with us as we made late changes, kept us informed if we asked questions.  If we didn't ask, they assumed we knew or simply trusted their judgment.
Not everything was as we expected, but there were logical reasons why.  As we had never done this before, our expectations were only based on a vision and at times that vision was hard to see as the project progressed. 
Final product was outstanding, glad we trusted them.

This is the second time Karbo Bros. Construction has built a pool for us.  The first time was 15 years ago and they really listened to what we needed and wanted and respected the fact that we were on a tight budget. The pool turned out really nice and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
We recently moved and contacted them again to construct another pool for us.  I got bids from other companies but in the end, I felt their bid was the best deal.  They do much of the work themselves as opposed to subbing everything out like most companies do.  They also use tighter construction and heavier rebar than other companies (1/2" compared to 3/8").  Again, they listened to what I wanted and guided me in areas where I was uncertain.  I also really like the fact that they do not use heavy sales pressure as that can be irritating and intimidating.
They created an amazing waterfall feature using huge boulders and the effect is just beautiful and very natural looking.  I could not be happier with the pool.  If we sell our house in the next few years in order to build a new home, I would use them a third time in a heartbeat.  These guys are honest and hardworking and I highly recommend them!  Pool contractors come and go and the Karbos have been in business under the same name since 1979.  Neighbors near us had their pool contractor declare bankruptcy in the middle of their project!  They should have used Karbo Bros. Construction!!

My 42,000 gallon pool needed replastering and I got three bids, which were all about the same. I chose Karbo because they were the closest and have been in business for several years. The plaster crew showed up when they were supposed to and did the plaster and tile work, which looked fine. However, within three months the new plaster became discolored and rough. Several times I asked Karbo to come and look at it. He said he would have the plaster crew look at it. I insisted that I had signed the contract with him and insisted that he come himself. To this date (February, 2012) he has not come and never did even send the plaster crew..

The process was smooth and I found the Karbo brothers to be extremely responsive, even in the years since the pool was installed. They have taken care of any problems, even to the extent that they noticed things I didn't and fixed them. One wall had to be completely redone when it was installed incorrectly, and they ensured it was done quickly and beautifully. They were able to tie the deck and stairs into existing walkways and patios seamlessly. We've frequently used the pool for baseball and band event celebrations and I can't count the numerous compliments we receive from kids and their parents when they see the beautiful job the Karbo Bros. did!

We received calcium instead of chlorine. I wasn't home so they left it by the pool. Also, they sold me a hand vac for the pool and charged me 500.00. Later I saw the exact vacuum at Walmart for 99.00. I don't mind someone making a profit but I felt cheated..
