I'm sure they're well trained and they have state of the art equipment. If I have an emergency, that's the place I could take my pet and they could take care of it, but they are very expensive. I spent over $10,000 last year. They led me to believe that part of the care that I thought was included was included, but it was not. They kept doing all these tests. I am a medical person too and it's fine to do tests if the test result kind of gives you something that you are going to do something about, but if  you are not going to do something about the result of the test, why do they have to keep doing tests just to gather information? We know she has a problem with her pancreas. That kind of looked like it went well. It was overkill. It was too much. I don't think they purposely do that to jack up the price of anything, I am not saying that, but they have a lot of equipment and they like to use it. It's very expensive. I will not go back there. I tried to tell them I didn't want this test but they just kind of do these stuff. They don't ask me if I want these stuff done. They just do it. They have state of the art equipment. If you have a pet that has some kind of disease process that you want figured out and you want treated, that is the place to go, but what I needed was a fairly common thing and cats have a lot of insulin resistance so even though you treat them, they don't necessarily respond to it. You have lots of other things that you can do but they don't necessarily help. It can all get very expensive and over the top. It would depend on what your purpose in going there would be for. There are people that think they are great. I think their veterinarians are very good. I think it's just the way they practice. I'm not going back there unless I have an unusual situation. I will avoid going there and it's not because I think they are terrible. It's mainly just because of all the stuff they want to do and the cost of it. I think it's unreasonable for the average pet owner. To me it was a very unpleasant experience. I just felt that there are just too many things done and all I wanted to do was concentrate on her diagnosis, that she is diabetic and I just want us to get it under control the best way that we can. I think they are way overpriced and it's because they have all the technology that they have to pay for. They have ultrasounds and all the stuff that no other veterinarian in town has. If you want to get a diagnosis, that's a good place to go because they have the equipment, and if you have that kind of facility, you got to charge. Just for routine vet care, they are very expensive but if you want all that high-tech stuff, they are probably reasonable. For me for I wanted to accomplish, they are expensive. For quality, they are very good. Their vets are very good, very knowledgeable, very nice, caring people. They call me and let me know what's going on. I think the people that work for them are on top of everything. They are excellent and very well trained. They take us in right away if they see that the pet is in crisis. They are very punctual and professional. The vets would call me to give me an update. They make sure that I know what's going on and what the plan is.

I will never go here again. We spent over $600, over 2 visits 2 days apart, and no diagnosis. Took him to another vet and he was diagnosed within three hours for $65. Called I-20 to ask why they couldn't diagnose after $600 worth of tests, and got talked down to by the manager. We are appalled by how disrespectful they are, not only after they've messed up, but the fact that they just run tests to rack up the bill and have no desire to help me figure out what is wrong with my dog. This is not the first time they have tried to price gouge us. It seems like every visit is $200 test after $200 test, with no real result. The same thing happened with our other dog's allergies. I cannot trust them with my dogs care, at all.

I took my pet (small dog) to the I-20 Emergency animal hospital located at 5820 W Interstate 20, Arlington, TX 76017 and middot; (817) 478-9238. I was asked what the situation was. I explained that my dog had been in an altercation with a much larger dog and he was a little puffy around his abdomen and showing signs of being sore, as the larger dog shook my dog in his mouth briefly. I also informed the young woman at the intake counter, that I had given my dog medication for pain before I realized it was not good for him. They entered my information into the computer and let me to a waiting area. I mentioned again before parting with my dog, that I really needed them to know what medication I had given my pet, only then did she write it down.
I remained in the exam waiting area for approx. 20 minutes before the nurse came in. She explained to me that my dog had been given medication that would cause him to regurgitate the medicine I had given him and that the pill was still wrapped in the cheese I put it in when I gave it to him. She provided a list of prices for me and explained to me, all the steps the vet wanted to take including ex-rays (me, knowing they would be helpful but not critical as the nurse told me the signs to watch for once we returned home).
I reviewed the list and determined I would have to take a more practical route as the prices were astronomical. I left with a few antibiotics, a few prescriptions and a bandaged little dog -- but not before I had to ask them several times to remove unnecessary charges from the list. I noticed there were items I could pick up at the drugstore on the list that were marked up 3 to 4 times what I would normally pay. I vowed to never go back to this particular location because I felt pressured to pay extreme prices for things I didn't need and there was a coldness about the vet that made me very uncomfortable. I had a better connection with the young lady that greeted me at the intake counter, she even asked how everything was with my little one as we were leaving. I appreciated her great customer service but not enough to ever return to that cold, price gouging establishment.

They are after hour emergency care for evenings and weekends. They are kind of high priced so i normally do not go to them.

Too expensive, staff not very knowledgeable. Seem to care much more about money than your pet. I'm far more impressed with Aledo Vet Clinic than this clinic.

I-20 Animal Hospital's prices are a little on the high side but their quality of care seems excellent. Their veterinary expertise stands out to me and they offer 24 hour 7 days a week emergency care.

He seems to have done a good job. He loves animals extremely. He gets right in their faces and talks to them. He addresses them as little darling. One time a Bassett bit his lip, but that hasn't stopped him from hugging pets and getting in their face. His price is not the highest, but it is not cheaper too. We are getting the service that we pay for.
