AJR Heating and Air Conditioning

It took three days after initial call but work was successfully done. At first we were charged $186 for the part to be shipped to them, then a charge of $65 called a warranty fee, then a charge of $450 for coolant (which by the way they recovered most of from my machine.) Current cost of refrigerant is about $6 per pound. As my machine needs 11.6 lbs they charged about $39 per pound which is an increase of about 650%. That would be if they recovered no coolant from my AC. I screamed and they agreed to waive the delivery and warranty fee. All these charges they felt were legit for a warranty repair for a unit they installed. According to what I have read the coolant charge should not have been more than $150, which is what is normally charged in the DFW area. Just be aware and get their fees upfront and in writing. I feel violated by these people.

Seamlessly. Showed up on time and finished in a matter of a couple of hours. Also included free 2 year service agreement, including change of filters.

Very professional. On time on three different occasions. Cleaned up after doing their work. Took obvious pride in their efforts. Price was outstanding.

It was multiple, it was a lot of stuff, it was over $1,000. He did a little of this and a little of that. It started out with one thing and while he was there, why don’t you do this, why don’t you do this, why don’t you do this. He’s another “A+” kind of guy. I wouldn’t use anybody else. He is in the Fort Worth area. Forth Worth and Dallas are like 50 miles from each other, and we have a house on the Fort Worth side and we have a house on the Dallas side. Unfortunately, I can only use him on the Fort Worth side, because he doesn’t go to Dallas. I had to have another plumber do the work in Dallas because this guy wouldn’t go there; that was sort of like too far for him to go. I think these guys gave me a really, really good deal.

Had some equipment issues but owner got involved and resolved the issues

Upon asking them for a price to replace them, it was more than I'd anticipated, so I had someone else do the work. Also, when they took out the air ducts they also took the boots (which connects the air ducts to the vent), so the project ended up costing me extra money, because those weren't supposed to be taken. Plus there were cracks in the ceiling from where the vents started falling due to the boots being removed. 

Also, I didn't like that they told me it would be $100 per hour, but it actually ended up being $180 per hour (they were here for 2 hours).
