Salesman/Project Supervisor was Mr. Nate Thompson. He was to be here most of the day of my roof installation, but was not here at all. No one was here supervising the roofing crew. As a result, all of the rotted decking was not removed and replaced, peak roof vents were nailed on peaks WITHOUT making the cutouts on each side of the peak so the hot air in attic could flow out of the vents. I paid a gentleman from Cloud Roofing here in San Antonio to inspect the job, and after looking in my attic and getting on the roof inspecting said, "As unbelievable as it may sound, it appears they nailed the roof vents on without making the roof cutouts on each side ofthe peak beam." He also inspected the water proofing and shingling job around my chimney and told me it was the most incompetent job of waterproofing around a chimney he'd seen in over 30 years in the roofing industry. Because they hadn't received all their money yet I forced them to come back and redo the roof vents correctly, which they did. It took 3 of their men over 3 hours. Three people from RRSA came and looked at the job around my chimney, said it was alright, and refused to redo it correctly. I also ordered the best residential shingle GAF made and instead received the middle grade shingle. Mr. Thompson repeatedly told me I was getting the best grade of GAF shingles - but I didn't. They installed metal drip guard, the cheapest type you can buy, on top of rotted boards along the edge of my patio roof. My roof is a total of 35 squares. The going rate in San Antonioright now for mid-grade shingles and peak roof vent is $225.00 per square. My 35 squares times the $225.00 comes out to $7,875.00. I paid over$2600.00 more than that. I not only grossly overpaid, but got an incompetent job. My Allstate adjuster will be here to inspect the job around the middle of September, along with my local Allstate agent and a COMPETENT roofer. My roof job remains right now just the way RRSA did it for all to come and see. Also, still have not received my GAF shingle guarantee I was supposed to get upon final payment. That was about six weeks ago.
Description of Work: A new roof was installed on my house, old roofing all torn off.
