Appliance Repair by Rodney Sims

I have had a horrible experience with this company. They came out twice to look at the heating element on my dishwasher. After the first visit, water was leaking out so we had to call the technician back. When he came back to fix the mistake, he did something to burn out the circuit board.  When I addressed this issue with Rodney, the owner, he was adamant that the technician did not cause the damage, even though the technician told me that he did while he was still at my home. Rodney is accusing me of being a free loader and is refusing to help or meet me half way with the additional costs of fixing the circuit board.

I was not aware that "Bedford Appliance Repair" is merely a booking agent for independent contractors.  If you call "[Any City] Appliance Repair," you're going to get this booking agency, so you could get good people or bad. . .you're just taking pot-luck.  I was glad Rodney left me his number, because I was very pleased with his work and he was very polite and professional.He also told me that if I changed my mind about repairing or replacing the control panel, he'd come back and do it within 90 days without charging another labor charge, just the part.  He also told me that the $50 I put on my charge card to hold the appointment was the charge for the booking agent, it doesn't go to him.  So, if I call him directly, I save $50 AND I'm sure to get the person I want.  I appreciated the fact that he told me up front that if I made both needed repairs, it would cost nearly as much as buying a new dishwasher.  The fact is, if I HAD decided to buy a new dishwasher, he would have made NO money at all and I still would have been out $50 to the booking agent.  I know that I will eventually have to buy a new dishwasher, but he was completely honest with me and he's standing behind his work.
