I took my 5 pound Chipoo in to Tiller at 7:48 Monday morning because he had been throwing up yellowish foam & was very weak. Tiller said he wasn't dehydrated yet & he was putting him on IV fluids, to call back that afternoon at 3:00 to see if he could go home. When I asked Tiller what he was thinking it was, he said possibly Gastrointestinal or Pancreatitis. Tillers assistant picked him up & I asked if he could have his blanket with him & she said it might get lost, they have towels for them. We didn't get a chance to say goodbye or touch him, he was gone. When leaving the back, we stopped at the front desk to see if they needed anything else & another employee is walking around up front with him ~ he's sick & exposing & being exposed to other pets?!?! OUR babies always have a blanket/towel that smells like home but I left it at that. I called at 3:00, put on hold for 10 minutes & told they only had one vet, they were busy & to call back at 4:00. Called back at 4:00 & was put on hold for 20 minutes to be told his bloodwork “wasnt horrible but was bad”, they had just started an IV, but it was not Gastrointestinal and to call tomorrow at 10:00. When I told my gf, she called at 5:52, before they closed, and was told they were swamped & that I had lied about her saying it wasnt Gastrointestinal. We just wanted answers, an idea if what was wrong with him and still noting & my gf was a liar. Called at 10:00 & was told we could pick him up at 4:00 ~ still don't have a clue what is wrong with him. When we get there, you're led around like cattle, was told it was $445.00 & I called my gf over to let her know the amount. The frizzy, red headed employee, Krystal, said payment in full before they release “the dog”.....ok now it clear that they're “just animals” & it's clear to us you are in the wrong line of work, I pretended she didn't exist & didn't comment, like I normally would. Knowing we couldn't get him that day because State Farm had debited our account the night before for out 6 months of car insurance, we both wanted to see our baby & talk to the doctor to at least know what was wrong with him ~ finally. I told her we wanted to talk to the doctor, she never said one word to me & we sat down with all of the other people that had ALL been treated like inmates at a prison. After 1 hour, seeing a few people called to the back & then leave, I went to the desk to ado how much longer it would be until we were called. The young, clueless girl I asked never said a word, just got up & went to the door of the room behind the desk to ask “KRYSTAL” & she came to the desk where we were and said we had to pay before we could talk to the doctor & they would hold our dog until then and proceeded to say it loud enough, over & over for everyone in the room to hear. Started explaining that they have to buy supplies, pay their employees, on & on until I told her she wasn't humiliating me by saying these things so everyone to hear & I didn't want her to say anything else to me. She then went to the exam room, where Tiller was with a patient & told him we were refusing to pay. He told her to call the police, let us have our dog & turn us over to collections. Like the loaner kid at school begging to be the teachers pet, she came back to the front & announced to everyone I could see my dog but she would have to call the police & I said that would be fine. She just happened to use the phone that was closest to where I was sitting & told them I was refusing to pay my bill. Once the infamous WASKOM PO PO arrived, he walked up & asked if I would step outside, I explained the whole, TRUE story and he asked us to come back the next day when we had the money ~ still no answers, still didn't get to see our baby. Wednesday morning we show up around 9:45 and paid the bill IN FULL ~ they're walking around & looking at us like we have the plague~ & I asked if we could talk to the doctor to find out his diagnosis after being there 50 hours later, he was “in surgery”.........BUT Krystal talked to him& SHE was the one to relay the message. We were told he had gotten ahold of something & upset his stomach & handed a Ziploc bag with a bottle of medicine in it. Was given no directions as how to take it, didn't know if he had already had some that morning, nothing. They bring him out, he's filthy, his arm is in the neck of his sweater & the sweater and it has brown chunks of something all around the collar. His little feet look like he has dug in the dirt ~ filthy & stinks horribly. Once we get in the car, we see he can't hold his head up & something is not right. All I wanted to do was leave his parking lot & get somewhere to check him out. That's exactly what we did & once we put him on the ground, he couldn't stand up or walk. He kept falling over & face planting. We went straight to my aunts vet, WAS GREETED when we walked in & before we said A WORD, one of the employees said it looked like Old Man's Vascular Disease but she was just throwing that out there. What?? We JUST walked in & already had an idea of something he could have~ way more than we were told for the last 3 days at Killer Tiller?!?!?! Within 30 minutes, we were talking FACE TO FACE WITH THE DOCTOR & being told what was wrong with him, his bloodwork looked normal, they had already started an IV & he had his blanket and baby in his cage with him. There was no place on his arms/feet where he had been given an IV & they had done nothing to help him at Tillers ~ NOTHING!!! He was filthy from dragging himself around in his filthy cage and had probably gone through **** while he was there. We told the doctor Monday morning that he was my Mom's dog until she passed away with cancer & she asked me to take him and how much he meant to me. We also told Tiller he was a very nervous dog & one of us are always at home with them and for all of this to have happened, infuriates me & breaks my heart for my baby. I gave made it my mission for something to be done about this place. I have been going there since 1993 but will never, ever go back and will tell everyone I know about my experience there. Before this incident, I thought Tiller was a compassionate, animal lover and I was so wrong. If you care about your baby, take them elsewhere. If you really don't care about your baby, Tiller is the place ~ he can kill them before sunset. ? Once we left, I called to stop payment on the check to Tiller & anxiously waiting to be turned over to collections. For year's I have lived by the rule my grandparents brought me up with, to turn the other cheek, but when it comes to my animals, I make an exception. They are so innocent & cannot defend themselves. When you put your trust in a doctor & see how your baby has been treated, I don't have words for my feelings right now:( I just called our vet & Buddy (our baby), is up and walking better, slowly progressing & they said he may be able to come home tomorrow but was told we were welcome to come visit if we wanted ~ I have ALWAYS been able to visit my babies any where else. When you can't visit your babies, I start thinking that someone has something to hide.... The last picture of our baby is one before he got sick & he is CLEAN.

Please understand the doctor is great.
However, he has a woman Sarah that is a liar. My sister called and found out about the pricing. She told Sarah what she wanted done told her if there was any questions to call her. My sister told her that her nephew would be bring the cat in. She gave him my sons name.
When my sister called to get the final bill it was almost $100. more. Sarah didn't bother to relay the information. When my son took the cat in we told him everything was set up. So he signed the paperwork. Well what they did was add labs too. We kept telling them they didn't tell him that. They kept saying yes they did. When we tried to talk to Sarah she talked over us, would not allow us to finish what we were trying to say. My sister was beyond mad when she talked to the next person and had colorful adjectives to say.
I tried to call and explained and had the same issue with Sarah. I asked to speak to someone else when she came on the line it sounded like a broken record he signed the paperwork.
When my son picked up the cat he told them that his aunt had given the instructions. They informed him that they don't make those kind of appointments.
So Sarah knew the discussion yet she choose to keep quiet and allow everyone to get mad and nasty. So while the doctor is great until they remove a number of the office staff we won't be returning. I realize that 11 animals may not seem like much.
I found that because Sarah didn't say anything that could have cleared this entire mess up we won't be back. It's a shame we used them for 6-7 years.

I find that based on price and type care given this is an excellent place to take your pet. From Shreveport it is a small drive but worth the effort.

They're cheaper than any other vet around here. They do a good job at a great price. They're very friendly and professional.

It's great. Dr. Tiller is excellent. He's very compassionate with the animals and his pricing is great. Two weeks prior when we bought the puppy he was about to go to lunch but he stopped to check the puppy. He's just a great guy.
