I was referred by Metal Depot on 290, Waller County. Because they were referring Rick Kiser Construction I thought that the company was reputable. Well I found out that this was totally incorrect. When Rick came to meet with me with regards to the job he said that had an experienced work crew. The first day it looked like this however he would leave two young inexperienced adults to do the work without any supervision. After this Rick and his crew would not show up to work for days and we would have to call him. One time when he did not show up we called home advisor and they spoke to him so he returned. There was no consistency with his hours leaving the duration of the job to go on forever. He would show up for a couple of hours and then leave. Once he completed the building he promised that he would be easy to reach if we had any leaks or other issues. Well that was a lie. There have been leaks in the building since then and I tried numerous times to reach Rick leaving messages and as of this date I have not received one call back. Then in turn to protect our investment I had to call and pay another company to come out and fix the leaks. When this company did a total inspection of the metal roof they noticed many screws were missing and the sheets were not properly attached which resulted in the leaks. You would think when you are dealing with a local family business that you would receive excellent service. Not from this company!!! BEWARE AND STAY AWAY!!! This is not the right provider for any one to do any work for them!!

We hired Rick upon recommendation from our realtor to do
renovations on our newly purchased home. The project included kitchen, master
bath, guest bath, laying engineered wood floors, painting stair railing,
removing some beadboard in our powder bath and removing a cabinet in our
laundry room. He estimated our project would take 4-6 weeks. Rick was personable
and assured us he had years of experience doing large projects and had a large
crew that could knock out this project prior to us moving in to our new home.
After 14 weeks, he had not completed any room. We asked him to leave. He and his crew
were very unreliable, not showing up or only coming for a few hours a day.
Furthermore, his work was not quality. The wood floors he placed in the
kitchen, laundry room and powder bath were not properly glued to the concrete.
So, they pop when walked on. The popping isn?t in just a few areas, it is
nearly the entire floor. He attempted to drill many holes into the floor and
inject more glue, which did not fix the problem. He then filled the holes with
dark brown wood filler that does not match our floors. Within a month of
installation, the cabinet doors he made and installed began to separate at the
seams and the paint began cracking. Even the few rooms that he painted were
done haphazardly with splatters of paint on our windows, floor, ceiling and
bathtub and the light switches were painted over. The paint on our bannister is
already chipping off since he didn?t sand or apply a primer before painting. Our
granite backsplash in the master bath was cracked in four places and installed
without telling us of the damage. The shower head he installed in the master
bath now occasionally sprays brown water. The master bath tile surround has
tiles that are loose and wobbly. In the end, we will have to redo a lot of the
work he did. Choosing Rick Kiser Construction was a costly mistake. I wish we
hadn?t trusted our home with such a careless contractor.
