ABRACADABRA SEPTIC PUMPING

I am so upset with Abracadabra Septic Pumping. I have never written a review prior to this… I called them during the Covid1-19 pandemic lock-down. I had been feeling extremely ill for the past 3 weeks. The driver was made aware and although I had planned to not personally interact, he felt better to reschedule. We did so following a negative test on my part for the virus. They came back out to the property. I stayed inside to insure social distancing. I had never had this system pumped out and did not understand what was it entailed. I just explained that my service provider had noticed me that the system needed to be pumped out. I had been asked who serviced the system which I had passed on. The fellow pumping out the system called asking me if there was another tank. I explained that there was an original tank, but that my understanding was that it was obsolete and the aromatic system was the new system. I do not and have never had the need to understand this septic system. Someone comes out to inspect it. I am told to have it pumped out. I called a pumping company to have it pumped out. Period. I was charged $350.00 to pump out half the system. Now my service people are explaining to me that without pumping the entire system; it is money down the drain (so to speak). I will now have to call a different pumping company to pop open the lids of the two tanks I had paid Abracadabra to pump and also to dig to find the Trash Tank and Clarifier Tank that Abracadabra knows is part of the system but was too lazy and dishonest to find on their own, charging me money that I will have to pay a second time to another pumper plus the amount to complete the job. When I called Abracadabra to explain the pumping was not properly completed, they told me this was my fault because I did not tell their guy that there were 2 more chambers. As I had placed the order with their office that my service people had left me a notice to pump the aerobic septic system, it never occurred to me they needed additional instructions. It is his company’s job to make sure they send someone out that does a complete job, making sure the homeowner does not burn up their pump due to shoddy pumping. If there was a person needing to explain their were 2 more chambers; it would be the pumping company’s responsibility to clearly explain to the homeowner what the job consisted of. Why would a homeowner ask to only have half the job completed? Living in such difficult times, it would seem people would be more concerned with doing the right thing by their customers. It is sad when one comes across the opposite behavior. In my opinion this is not just shoddy work, this is completely fly by night rip off work.

The job was completed within hours of calling for an appointment. The driver was very professional and knowledgeable. He completed the job and did a great job. The truck was in very good condition. The price was reasonable and almost as quoted. It did include a small additional dump charge that was not disclosed during the phone quote.

We called several vendors for help on a Sunday night most vendors were closed. ABRACADABRA was the first to respond and we had used them before and were favorably impressed before, so we asked them to pump our system. The said they would be there between 8 and 9 AM the next day. The operator called at 7:45 AM and the truck arrived around 8:25 AM. While describing the problems we had and the job we wanted done, Manny noted that the pump was not running and showed that the clean out had trash in it. He commented that if all was working well, that should be clear. After some investigation (maybe 20 min), we determined that the system was not working, and called our maintenance company. They were busy, but agreed that the pump tank still needed to be cleaned out and the waste tank was probably OK for now. After completion of the job, the trash was not in the clean-out, and the system seemed to be working very well. Manny saved us several hundred dollars by his attention to detail, his advice and his professional approach to the job.

Called in on April 19th in the morning, they had a guy to my house in the afternoon, ontime. Manuel did a great job, very professional, Pumped all three tanks, operated very efficient and cleaned up. This is the second time I have used Abracadabra septic pumping, very pleased both times.

New septic pump owners and were not given correct guidelines by builder, plus our maintenance company and the warranty service company didn't catch that the pump timer was set incorrectly.  Soooooo, emergency pumping service needed on CHRISTMAS EVE.

Randy came out, was professional, friendly AND happy to perform the service.  Helped us figure out what had gone wrong with the timer and performed the pumping service in less than an hour.  Crisis averted.  Even told me about a coupon online for $25 off of the service. You can believe we'll be calling Abracadabra Septic Service again!

Manuel called to say he needed help locating us, this is normal as our house is 200 yds off the road and shrouded by trees, he was just down the street and was, for all practical purposes on time.  He did the work, was polite and friendly, cleaned up.  All in all, excellent service.

They quoted a competitive price and scheduled an appointment for about a week later.  They cam when they said they would, pumped out about 1500 gallons and hauled it away without leaving any mess behind.

The service provider arrived and immediately started to work. He pumped both tanks with a little help from one of our neighbors. He was cordial and diligent.

While talking he noted that he had only been working for a few months and was actually an oil-field worker. He had not done this particular septic tank very much, and at first was unable to find the second, solids waste tank. He called the owner several times with no result. The owner was coming to help when a neighbor came by and pointed the provider to the tank.

I was impressed by the providers attitude and his desire to do a good job. He worked quickly throughout all of the job, and would have finished within an hour had he not had his problem.

I would definitely use this provider again.

Called at 10am. Scheduled for same day service as they had space. Ricky showed up at 1130, and found the service access for the main tank. Pumped it (in the pouring rain). Gave me a quick education on septic systems and how to's what not to's. Pumped out greese trap, then found the back septic system (pool house), which took a lot of digging. Very Pleased. Cleaned up after him self, was very pleasant, and the price was right. Thanks Abracadabra!

The serviceman, Randy, arrived on time. He was very courteous, professional and efficient. I have never had a septic system before and did not know anything about them. There was no visible clean out. He quickly found a tank, but it turned out to be a secondary tank. He explained why he thought that and went about finding the main tank. He is obviously very knowledgeable and quickly found the main tank as well as the clean out. He patiently explained about septic systems and gave me a lot of information. In addition, the people at the business were also very helpful and friendly. I called multiple times with questions and they were always friendly, patient and helpful. I will never go anywhere else as long as I have a septic system.

It had been raining and my yard was wet, so they did not bring their big trucks through to the back of the house - for which I was very grateful. They completed all work in a timely and professional manner. I would use them again and also highly recommend them to others. Thanks, Angie's List!

I was able to schedule the service very quickly. The service man was very prompt and cleaned out the tanks within an hour's time. He cleaned up after the process where I could barely see where my hidden third tank was! I was very pleased with this service!!

Did okay. Didn't have enough hose to reach the septic from our street even after I told them of the distance. They parked the truck on our driveway, and left a patch of oil on our driveway. The guy was very personable.
