Framing Service
I purchased the painting from River Art Group in San Antonio in 1996. It appears the artist cut it from a stretcher and matted it. After 18 years in the Texas humidity, the canvas was wrinkled and the matte was deteriorating. I removed the canvas from the matte and took it to Studio Gallery.
Lance Magid suggested how the painting should be mounted to remove the wrinkles and protect from future damage. He also laid out a selection of frames for us to choose.
A week and a half later the framing was done and the painting looks better than ever. We didn't realize it, but the original matte actually detracted from the detail of the painting. With the new frame, details of the painting jump out. We couldn't be more pleased.
