KEN BAKER SVC

A plumber had told us that the dishwasher pump was the problem, but he found an obstruction and cleared it.  He came promptly (great for a New Years Eve appointment!) He was very pleasant even with noisy children and and a nosy dog.  AND he saved us the expense of replacing a pump that was not the problem.

MOLD!!!...I hired them to do a routine maintenance check up on our heating system, since we just bought the house this past summer. (We have a baby and try to be proactive with home care). He arrived on time and the gentleman was professional. He said everything was ok. However, after I started noticing that cold air was blowing through the vents, I hired another provider. They found MOLD in the unit, a rusted drip pan, and dysfunctional heating elements. Also, he was told to charge me $197.00, I was told it would be $80.00 an hour on the phone. He was only there an hour. We will be replacing our units with the new provider. Shame on this company for missing something that could cause harm to my family.

Had a Bosch microwave that quit.  They are listed as am Bosch repair center.  Called and asked before I brought it in and thay come on.  Took the unit to them, they did their troubleshooting, gave me an estimate and I approved it.  Initial troubleshooting did not fix the problem and they placed a call to Bosch support for direction.  New estimate was given and approved by me.  Work performed and still no fix.  Bosch Field rep was called to come look and Bosch rep was not very responsive.  I called Bosch support and the field rep myself and little to no response.  Last I heard from Ken Baker services was they would get this taken care of and call me, that was six months ago.
I understand Ken Bakers problems with Bosch and I feel for them, but it is unexcusble to just ignore the customer. I would have appreciated the call just to say, "look. I don't think we can fix this." I would question my desire to continue being a Bosch repair facility.
So the thumbs down is for Bosch for their support and to Ken Bakers Services for just ignoring things in hopes it just goes away.

Called for appt. and gave description that dryer was not heating. Dryer is 5 years old so defective heating element was best guess by the repair service as to what was wrong without seeing it. Michael ordered the part so repairman would not have to make two service calls. Part came in on the following Monday. Repair made in less than an hour on the following morning. Dryer is performing well. Very professional hb.

They were very flexible and worked around a schedule of some reconstruction to be done on the closet after the old unit was removed. An explanation in detail of what was needed and the recommendations for the replacement was given at the estimate appointment. Everything was scheduled quickly. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They cleaned up very well after. Operating and maintenance instructions were given after installation. I was very pleased with the whole process.
