Already knew the alternator needed to be replaced (was planning to do it myself until I watched the video).  Dropped the car off at 7:30, their ride service had me back to the house by 8 am.  Work was done by 11:30, and was picked up by noon.  Unfortunately, when I drove off, one of the cylinders was missing.  Drove right back, and they determined one of the spark plugs was bad.  Got a new plug delivered and replaced while I waited, no charge,

My wife and I moved to the Waco area 14 months ago.  As soon as we moved here, we had several things go wrong with our vehicles, so the first thing we had to do was find a reliable mechanic.  Dunn's was very highly rated on Angie's list, so I decided to have some work done there.  I don't foresee ever taking my vehicles anywhere else.  They are courteous and knowledgeable.  So far, all their repairs have matched the original quote with no sudden unpleasant surprises once work began.  I would recommend Dunn's to anyone.

We have always been pleased with them. The price was very reasonable. They are always friendly. They are usually pretty good about getting it fixed on time unless there is an issue with getting a part in or something like that. They have always been very helpful.

AC wasn't cooling. Had taken the car to Midas twice and they charged me $200 each time to refill the system still couldn't figure out the problem. On my third trip they tried to charge me 1500 for a new compressor but didn't do a good job of convincing me that was the real problem. So I looked around and found Dunn's, brought it in on a Saturday afternoon, they had it for about 2 hours, figured out the problem and fixed it for only $70!! Very professional and honest service. So wonderful to find an honest mechanic. Lesson learned, never go to Midas, and always go to Dunn's.

It went extremely well.. I had them do what needed to be done and the did it very timely. Staff was extremely professional and friendly. (There is a difference) when friendliness does not combine with professionalism as well as the other way around.. The shop looked clean from what I could see and the customer area was clean, ample, and accommodating.. I had never used Dunn's, had no need but I will use them for all my auto needs henceforth. Did not know whom to trust until I read the reviews on Angie's List. And better yet, they are close to my home however having used their services I'd drive out of my way to have them service my autos.

We called Dunn's late in the day on Thurday and asked if they used a tow service as I didn't want to risk causing further damage to the car engine. I asked if they could get the car in the morning since it was so late and they insisted on sending a wrecker over right away. Within 30 minutes a wrecker was at our house. The next morning I received a quote for the repair and the car was ready to go by the end of the day. They were very fast, honest and fair priced with the tow, diagnostics, oil change and all. I won't call anyone else any more. The last service place I used, I believe that when they made one repair they rigged something else to fail so they could get more business. Its nice to see an honest job done.

My wife was stopping to gas up when the water pump went out in her car. We initially had the car towed to the local dealership where we received an estimate of $2500 to fixit. We did some research, talked with a few friends and were pointed to Dunn Brake and tire. I called and gave them a synopsis of the items that need to be replaced. They completed the repairs overnight and returned the car to us the very next afternoon. I was blown away by their ethics and customer service. When I took my wife to pickup her car, she gave the gentlemen behind the counter a hug and thanked them for going above and beyond to repair her car.

These guys got right on it and the work was done so fast I had to wonder about the quality. That said, I did not have any further problems with the front brakes. I do think that they were rather expensive for the work done.

Pricing was less than what they estimated when they finished and less than other companies in town. The service was really good. They had courtesy car service. They explained everything so that I could understand what was going on. I will definitely use them again.

I chose this repair shop due to their "A" rating and the fact that they were open on Saturday.
I dropped the car off early Saturday Morning. They got to it pretty quick to do the initial diagnosis. I had already purchased the hose for $80 from Auto Zone. However, the shop said I had to purchase the part through them if I wanted a warranty on my product. They charged me double for the same part, which was around $160.
They finished the repair by the end of the day on Saturday. I came to pick the car up, but as I was driving out of their parking lot I had to seriously fight with the steering wheel to pull into the road. I didn't realize the severity of the "new" problem until I got home and tried to pull into my parking spot. I discovered I couldn't turn the wheel at all if I drove under 5 mph!
Since they were closed by the time I got home, I waited until they re-opened on Monday to take the car back again to fix what they messed up. Good thing I purchased their overpriced part to have their work guaranteed, because they messed something up, and I needed take it back to have that issue repaired.
They clearly did not treat their "work guaranteed" customers the same way they treat their "i"m paying to have you work on my car" customers. Service this time around was so slow. It took 3 days for them to repair their mistake. I finally got my car back by end of the day on Wednesday. As I was leaving the shop the cashier commented on how the mechanic noticed something was wrong with the steering when he drove it from the bay out to their parking lot. I though, "If you guys knew there was a new problem with the steering why did you send the car home with me in the first place!!!!
Overall- these guys are expensive, and I thought I would get what I paid for. But not with Dunn's. They messed something up on my car, knew about it, but apparently since they already got their money they didn't care, and sent the broken car home with me anyways. Then when I brought it back to have their mistake repaired for free under their "warranty" program, they took triple the amount of time to fix it. I will be seeking a higher quality repair shop next time.

They were professional, friendly, helpful, cordial and I wouldn't hesitate going back for service in the future. I liked em, liked em alot! Thanks for making my day!

Good and edpeditious job. They are not the cheapest, but not ripoff artists either. They provide delivery service within reason. Most efficient automotive repair I have seen. Also a pleasant sitting area in case you have to wait for the repair. I arrived 1st thing this morning at 7:30am and all repairs were done before noon.

The staff at Dunns Brake and Tire in Waco went above and beyond in helping my son with the brakes,alignment and tires on his truck. Being away from home as a student you often don't know who to use for automotive service and Angies list helped us locate Dunns.After visiting with the manager and the owner they towed the truck in, repaired the brakes, aligned the front end and even found a good used tire to replace one that had been ruined at a bargain price.I will use them for any other automotive work we need in Waco.

I had taken my car to a previous place who had said I needed to replace the compressor which would have cost about 1200.00 to 1500.00 to replace. They could not take the car in for a few days so I ended up taking it to Dunn's. Dunn's told me to just drop the car by as they were closing and they looked at it the following morning. They called the next morning and said it was not the compressor and that it was a part that needed to be replaced. The repair ended up being 250.00 instead. We were very pleased with this company and will definitely use them again. We would highly recommend them.
