They showed up and charged for completing no work at all. They were informed of the type of work that needed fixed before showing up. The technician never had a mask on during this visit.

These guys did a great job. Prompt, knowledgeable, clean, respectful. Everything you could ask for when needing plumbing work done in your home. We are very satisfied and would use them again and again as the need arises. Highly recommend Cornerstone Plumbing.

I called them Friday, Oct. 5th, with plumbing troubles for a house I had for sale in another town. They called back Monday morning to see if they could schedule the repairs that day. I said I had prior commitments for the morning in Waco and wouldn’t be available until the afternoon. She said she would check with workers about their scheduled day and would call me back. When she called a few hours later it was to say the men were at the house in Marlin and said they couldn’t find a leak. I had already told the girl in the office not only was the water turned off to the house but that the hot water heater had been turned off as well. I had to rush to Marlin to let the workers in the house to turn the hot water heater on. That’s when the leak was seen by the workers under the house. The long and short of this bad experience with Cornerstone was that I was grossly overcharged and inconvenienced with timing. The workers were sitting in their truck waiting for me to get there (and I was 35min away). Then they left to get parts and were gone 2-1/2hrs. All this to replace the one pipe with the leak. I was charged almost $900. I had asked for an estimate of repairs prior to the repair and was given a replacement cost of all pipes under the house at over $5,000. I said I only wanted the cost of the one repair and was told it was hard to say until the repair was done. An estimate was requested and NOT given. Only the final bill was given at time of completion. I was furious when given the amount. They had deducted only 2hours of wait time from the bill because I had complained they had not respected the times I had said I could be there. I am a 65yr old single female and I was taken advantage of by this company. I will NEVER use them again.

Cornerstone came out, looked the situation over and told us that the leak was caused by deteriorating caulk in the drain.  They recaulked the drain, allowed it to dry and returned in the next day or two to put the drain cover back on.  Once we began to use the shower again, we found that the leak continued.  We called Cornerstone, they returned and decided that the problem was not the drain but the stem in the water regulator.  They said they repaired it and left.  The shower continued to leak.  We called Cornerstone to notify them about the leak but decided NOT to allow them to return and called another local plumbing company.  The technician, from the other company, noticed immediately that the leak was from the shower door - the rubber and caulking under the shower door had deteriorated enough to cause a lot of water leakage.  We're now having the shower door repaired and moving on.

One situation I want to mention is that the first day Cornerstone came to check the shower, the technician used one of my white hand towels to wipe up water, old caulk, etc.  The wet, dirty towel was left lying in the shower.  Fortunately I was able to bleach it clean and didn't think much more about it.  When the technician returned to put the drain cover back on my husband mentioned that it wasn't appropriate to use a customer's personal towels when cleaning up a project.  The technician said that he didn't use the towel and went to reinstall the drain cover.  Before leaving, he did tell my husband that indeed he had used the towel.  It was unnerving that he chose not to be truthful from the start.  I did receive a call from Cornerstone asking about the towel.  They offered to replace it or pay for it.  I told them that everything was fine.  The disappointment was the lie, not the towel.
Response from Cornerstone Plumbing
"I cannot express the shock I felt when I read (Removed member name) comments. I discussed the issue with the technician and unfortunately her words were true. I have terminated that technician. We have worked hard for a long time to build our name and though things do not always go as planned this was completely unacceptable. I am not the most computer savvy person or I would have posted this response much sooner. Please know that your experience is the exception and not the rule. Unfortunately that technician ran 2 Angies list calls before we could terminate him. Sincerely Justin Foster"

Rod was very courteous and made sure the clog was gone and the water flowing freely without backing up unto the backyard from the overflow by using an electric operated snaking machine.  After he was done, he raked up all the overflow mess and threw it in the trash as well as closing the trash bag and putting it in my outdoor trash container for me.  Then, he checked my bathtub hot water stem because the water pressure was low coming out of it. He cleaned the stem and reassembled it and the water was flowing much more freely out of it.  I've used Cornerstone several times the past two years and have always been happy with their service.

I called Cornerstone based on reviews and 'A' rating from Angie'sList reviews. I requested a bid for the repair work needed to fix the under slab leak I had found based on water seeping across my front porch. 'Paul' showed up (October 23rd)at appointed time and was friendly and very personable. He surveyed the situation and said he would give me a bid. on Monday October 27th. As of Wednesday the 29th still no bid. I called to inquire. Every time I called the phone was promptly answered and of the 2 different people I spoke with both were very courteous and helpful. Finally got bid on Thursday October 30th and gave approval for work to be done. They were told that I would be in Hawaii on November 9th and would like the leak fixed before I left and rain hit on Tuesday November the 4th. They got started early Friday morning of the 5th.
What was thought to be the only leak was located and repaired late Friday. A water test revealed yet another leak was present. They returned on Saturday and found the leak and yet another leak passing thru a concrete beam and had to do additional digging to bypass the beam failure and route line around beam to the other side of beam to repair. Hole was refilled on Monday the 3rd ahead of the rain. Extra dirt was carried via front-end loader to back of property with the statement that after the rain and the hole settles they would return to add more dirt back to hole. Tractor with frontend loader as of this writing still sits in ditch by the house.
Overall the experience was good and I would use them again with some additional requirements.
Pros:
All persons of which I interacted with (6) were very friendly,  responsive and professional
They did in my opinion know what they were doing(done a bit of plumbing myself in my day).
They did seem to care about doing the job right
They showed up when or near times they said they would
They did a good grounds cleanup
They did get the work done by the time I requested, even with additional leaks found.
The original bid was the final bill even with additional work done to fix additional leaks
Cons:
Some communication failures:
If I had not re-inquired about bid, work could not have been done by requested time.
Communication of findings of workmen/management was poor. Knew of 1st leak and 2nd leak, not third until I called with a bill question.
The 5% coupon presented on Angie's List was not detailed on bid or bill but I was told it was already deducted. ???
Although not a perfect experience, I have had far worse. Other than some easily correctable communication and bill presentment issues, I have found no fault in their craft.
I would use them again in the future

He was very prompt, (came when expected.) I was at work, but was told that the service man was polite.  I don't think the cost of service was excessive as I know he had to replace some parts.. In the future I will definately call Cornerstone again for all my worrysome plumbing needs.

I thought they would replace the polyurethane hose and shut off valve. Instead they put a gasket in hose. So I felt price was a little pricey for that.

I couldn't get the gas water heater to turn back on.  Apparently, it had a lot of silt that kept it from lighting so he had to clean it out first and even then took a while for him to restart it.  He was here for 1.5 to 2 hours getting it done if I remember correctly.  It went out again a few weeks later but we were able to get it back on and it has stayed on since.

Parts were $42 and labor $85. Came on day I requested and fixed it pretty fast. Maybe just me but $85 an hour for labor seems high.  Haven't had plumbing work done in a while though.  I was expecting $65-$75 for labor.  Anyway, he just had to rebuild the shower valve.  Just glad to have it done.

Contacted Cornerstone on Thursday 10/2/13 around 4:00 pm.  They said they would contact their on call crew and have them come by and evaluate the problem.  On call crew call about 6:00 pm and stated they were running a little behind and would be there as soon as possible.  Crew arrived about 8:00.  Looked at the issue and determined that there were two leaks in the line.  Fixed the simple leak and advised that they would have comeback with a line tester to determine where the leak was and give an estimate of the cost to repair.  The line test would be 250.00. I told them that would be okay and to come back.  Crew arrived at approx 9:00 am on 10/3/13 with equipment, located the leak, re-routed line through the attic and was done around 12:00 noon.  That was excellent service considering that it was completed within one day.

Cornerstone Plumbing has been really great.  When it started to leak a little bit, they came back and fixed it. They're really good. They charge us but it's fair. We really like them. There was also a leak under our house, we were getting this really big water bills. There was a leak underneath the foundation. He went over because it was too complicated to go underneath the foundation. They sealed the pipe off and went over. They fixed it. They're the ones who came back in and finished. My husband was happy with them. We've been really pleased with them.
