"Thanks love working with yall give mi a call for y ext painting"
I previously used Juan to paint the exterior of my home. He did a very nice job so I referred him to my mother, when she purchased a home that needed some interior painting. I am so sorry I referred Juan. The repairs to the sheetrock & minor texture work were fine. I had to asked him to re-do one or two areas, but this turned out well.
At first, we had issues with him showing up. Sometimes, he would show up but wouldn't stay very long. The house was not occupied so he was able to come & work as long as necessary. One time, he even brought a baby to the job site and he left behind a dirty diaper. I had to tell them not to bring the baby back to the house.
The first part of the house that he painted was the garage. Juan did not remove the covers on the electrical outlets, nor did he tape over the outlets. Instead, he painted over these. Paint got into the outlets. He painted over the sprinkler control box and the electrical panel (did not cover these up). After bringing this to his attention, he did replace the outlets in the garage. However, these were not done correctly and then none of the outlets in the garage worked. We had to call an electrician to figure out the problem, and, of course, we had to pay the electrician.
After the fuss I made about removing the outlet covers and taping up the plugs, I thought Juan would do a better job inside the house. That was not the case. After he applied the first coat, I noticed the plug covers had not been removed. I removed these, myself. He painted around the light fixtures above the vanities, instead of removing or loosening these to paint behind the fixture base. Juan also painted around the towel bars hanging in the bathrooms (instead of removing before painting). Basically, he did not like to do the necessary prep work.
Then he got to the kitchen cabinets. These were painted cabinets that may have been painted a second time at a later date. These were painted white and Juan was to paint the cabinets a mocha/chocolate color. Some of the paint on the cabinets was oil base and some was water base. He bid the job to use water based paint. My parents were concerned about this and asked Juan to use oil base paint on the cabinets. Of course, he increased the bid by almost $1000. This was more than their budget so they went with Juan's original bid and let him do it the way he thought best. Water-base paint should be ok, if the prep work is done properly. But it wasn't. And the cabinets began to peel about a week later.
My mother called him and left messages for him but he would never return her call. When I called him, I did reach him but I think that was only because I called him from my work number (which he did not have). He said he tried to tell my parents that he needed to use oil base paint. My problem with this is that Juan is supposed to be the PROFESSIONAL. If oil-based paint should have been used on the cabinets, then that is how he should have bid the job and he should have insisted on this. If someone says they want water-base paint, Juan should explain to them why oil base paint is needed and he should turn down the job if he cannot do it properly. He should never have bid this job using water-base paint for the cabinets.
When I talked to Juan on the phone that day, he said he would meet me the next day. We agreed to 4:00 pm. Juan was supposed to call me when he was on his way. You guessed it.... He never called. He never showed up. I tried calling but he never answered. I left voice messages to which he never responded. It has been over a week and he has never returned my calls.
I would NEVER use Arjon Painting again and I would not recommend anyone else use them. They do not stand behind their work or their word.
"Sorry we couldn't work to cabinet problem out ..... Let me explain what happened it was painting the kitchen cabinets 3 restrooms and a laundry room that's why it went up on that bid 800 dollars I explained to them that that was the best way to go oil base they said yes we almost started painting and they said no I explained like 10 times that that was the best way to go and they said stick with water base so now that's the problem they want us to go back and respray the hole cabinets oil base something I explained so many times sorry that's not the way no company works It's the mom and dad house we had some problems I told them if they had a few date they said no and they said they loved how everything was turning out if they didn't like anything I did my best to fix the problem. Ok we finished they said they loved the job fix all the problems and they payed us The only problem now is only the cabinets something I explained so many times I'm so sorry no company works that way I now I did my best I stand 100 behind my work Juan arjon jr"
Juan Arjon and his crew were prompt and efficient in making the best use of their time from the start of the job to the end.
All repairs were completed to my satisfaction. All surfaces were prepped prior to being painted which included covering all
windows and doors with plastic. Paint was applied with brushes and spray equipment in a professional manner. The only
exception to this was that the spray equipment would occasionally clog up and cleanup left several messes in the yard.
Payment for the job was half upfront and the balance at the end. I was very pleased with the job .
About a month later I noticed the paint peeling off a 2 square foot section of the metal patio cover. I contacted Juan on 2 different
occasions concerning this problem and on each occasion he said he would come to take of the problem. He has yet to show up.
It is apparent to me that he does not stand behind his workmanship. I would not use him again.
"Give me a call 2542142382 to fix this as soon as possible sorry juan arjon jr"
