Kim Daniels

I met with Miss Daniels approximately three weeks before the date it was needed. She seemed very excited about doing the project. Promised would be done two days before I needed it. When I brought her the material i gave her a diagram, or drawing of how the material should be cut with measurements so that almost all 30ft lenth of material would be used up. During this time I had come by three or four times to check progress, even bringing her an example of a. friends skirt that had previously been borrowed. Finaly about 2 days before the due date she said she began to cut the material, but did not offer to show me anything still promising it would be ready on time. At this point I began checking with her at least once a day, Fri night the day it was supposed to be finished, we came to her place, she did not let us in but said she was just starting to assemble it and would stay up all night to finish it when her kids were down, and that it would be ready in the morning. sat morning when we came by she said she worked on it for as long as she could but still did not have it done. Promised repeatedly it would be ready that night but again it was not. then she began telling me to be patient it would be ready in the morning, the day of the performance and that she would make an extra surprise to match the skirt, All of Sunday morning hrs before it was needed she kept asking for more time until there was no more time. We had to spend the last few minutes waiting for her to finish at her studio with no time to check fit or anything else. Come to find out upon arriving to the show and trying on the skirt for the first time I noticed that the skirt was not as full as expected it to be and could not do what I needed with it, But had no choice to wear it like it was. Also the surprise that she made did not fit at all and even began to fall apart right away. Finaly a  week later after recovering from all of the work and anxiety of preparing for the show,  I got a measuring tape out and discovered she had only used 8ft of the material, less than a 3rd of the material and the work that would have gone along with it. When confronting her with it she refused to answer the door or her phone. then denying everything and refusing to return any of the material or adjust the bill in compensation for the material she kept or the labor that she did not provide. Several weeks later after hrs of arguing thru text she gave back only 4ft of scraps, and still has  not givin back the  other 18ft of material or adjusted the bill.
