Auto Service
This was a horrible experience to say the least. Zack Kondos showed up after about 2 days for the on site service. He analyzed the situation and said he would be back the next day with the parts. He then changed the schedule and said it would be 2 days because of another job. He showed up and found after he got there & had the car apart that the parts he ordered were wrong. He then began a search for the correct ones and finally said there was a 3 week lag to get the parts. He wanted to take the brakeline to a hydraulic shop and have the change the connection from the old to the new line! On brakes!!!! He then called after about a week to say he was getting the correct part. He came and out it on and for the life of him could not pressurize the brake system. He then told us it took a $35,000 machine to do the brake pressure on jeeps but he had a friend that had a portable unit but the friend could not sneak it out of the shop he worked anymore.
He then left again to see if he could find something else that would work to get the line pressurized. In the meantime this was almost 2 weeks of time with no vehicle and the price kept going up and up over the estimate. By now it had more than doubled.
At this point we decided to pay him for his service call and for a small amount of work he did on a sensor and part ways. He was upset and threatened a mechanic's lien on the vehicle. We called a brake shop and had to have it towed. We incurred more cost for them to repair the system, check it out for workmanship, and the tow charge. We checked with them on what the cost would have been for them to do the entire job and found inflated parts costs and labor costs on All Star's prices. We settled with him for the difference in what the good repair shop charged up ad what his original quote was.
Some of the employees of the repair shop knew of this guy and just laughed & shook their heads when we said that is who had been supposed to fix it.
