MITCHELL GLASS CO

I called Mitchell Glass in the beginning of April 2014 to replace a window pane in our sun room. We were putting the house up for sale and I stressed the need to get the window repaired ASAP. I was told someone would be out within a week or so to measure the window. I advised them the sun room would be open if they would advise when they would come out. The advised me of a day and a neighbor went over and left the sun room door open. She saw the glass company employees enter the yard. After a week or so I contacted the company again to ascertain the progress of the work. I was told they never came out to measure the window. I advised they did, my neighbor witnessed them at my location. I was told they would get out within the next week. No one came out. I called back and talked with Vanessa; she advised me they were so busy she couldn't say when they could get the job done but would try to do ASAP. After another week I called back and finally learned the technicians had come out but didn't measure the window because they forgot the room would be open and no one was home. I advised the company the room would stay open for them any day. After another week they finally came out and measured the window. When the pane came it, it was the wrong size. They ordered another pane and when it came in, it was broken. When the pane finally came in another week or so they sent an apprentice out and he broke the ballast in the window and bent the screen. The date at this point was around the end of May, after we had sold the house and the new owners were moving in. I called the company and expressed my displeasure with their work. I was told they agreed they had not done a good job and would get it fixed as quickly as they could. I talked to the owner, Bobby, and complained to him. His attitude was they were at the mercy of getting replacement material and couldn't do much about it. The delay went on for another few weeks. They finally fixed the window and billed me immediately. The new owner then advised me the screen had not been replaced. I called the company again and they advised me they were just waiting on a new screen to be made and would replace it as soon as they got the screen. I called the new owner of our home and advised them what Vanessa with Mitchell Glass advised me. She agreed they could contact her for a service date. I sent a check dated 8/4/2014 in the amount of $136.94 to Mitchell Glass. The new owner then contacted me on Sept. 1, 2014 and advised me the screen still had not been replaced. I called Vanessa on Sept. 2, 2014 at Mitchell Glass and complained again. She looked around and found the screen and advised me they would get the screen on quickly. To this date I have not heard anything more.
