Pavers and Hardscaping Service
.It was decided that if he was to LEVEL out the front where the sidewalk was to go , that it would be easier to see what was going to have to be done to fix the flower bed. there was NO leveling at all done so needless to say it goes up hill on both ends. There were NO drains put in, so when it rained , they were out here to see the water standing and dug a hole for the water to run under the sidewalk and stuck a piece of pipe in it. They did get the Arch tore down, but NEVER worked on it or the Rock wall other than tear down the corners and put some support to help hold the wall up.
He was paid the amount of $ 1800 to get the materials and the concrete. The sidewalk was poured in 3 different pours--- which is the next part of the story--He than came back and asked for another check for $ 2500, for the rest of the concrete. We are not totally stupid, There was no way the concrete was anywhere close to $ 4300. More like $ 1205, that is a difference of $ 3095, and believe me, their work is NOT worth that. The sidewalk -- 1st pour was not to bad, except where it goes up hill because of not being leveled out.And the corner had to be dug out because of the water standing after the rain.the " hash marks " lines between the sections were all done nicely, all the same length , but then when the pour was stopped, it was about a foot passed the " hash mark " which was not understood to start with, 2nd pour was HORRIBLE, it was started about a foot after the "hash mark " from the last pour., which did not make any since to start with. There is a CRACK all the way across the sidewalk, right in the middle , in the front door, where it will be seen by everyone who comes in the front door. As the pour goes it, it is flaking off on the sides, down the middle, and at the "hash marks", the longer it goes the rougher it gets, you can NOT walk on it barefooted. And then again, the end is up hill, due to no leveling. the end of the pour again is in a odd place. Then there is the 3rd pour that is a total different color, the put together seam is again HORRIBLE. The part under the windows holds water , he was told that it would have to be raised, which was not done. I was told that" it does not rain here that much anyway " Was so upset in the work done, that we ask him also to please leave the job. After he had not showed up for a little over 3 weeks.
