He took 4 months longer than estimated since he only worked maybe 4 hours a day 2-3 times a week. He drank heavily on the job. He charged personal things to our card. He helped himself to whatever he wanted in the refrigerator (including beer.) The quality of the work is horrible and we have had to hire others to correct. the wiring did not pass code. He did not insulate the bathroom in the ceiling and has caused frozen pipes during the winter. The cabinets were never completed.

Contractor started September 15, 2012 and estimated a 2.5 month time frame. Then he said it would be ready by Christmas. I requested that he be done by March 1 after that and I have text confirmation that he said he would. You have to work more than approximately 5-10 hours a week to complete anything. Was still not finished when we told him to not come back at the end of March. He and his crew never worked more than a few hours a day and then only two, sometimes three, days a week. Started out strong but didn't last after a few weeks. Contractor helped himself to anything in our garage refrigerators including but not limited to any beer available. We finally had to literally chain it shut. He let us know if we ran out of bottled water. Contractor used our Lowe's card for supplies as we had agreed to at the start. Not until the first bill came did I find out he was also using it for personal stuff. He purchased over $3500 in personal toiletries, halloween decorations, cleaning supplies and gift cards. None of the gift cards were to Lowe's. They were to Shell Oil, Merriott Hotels, many different restaurants, Kohl's, Old Navy, etc. I asked for the card back and 3 days later he brought it to me but in the meantime had added another $300 in gift cards. We paid him by check and requested receipts but never received them. We ended up having to pay sub contractors that he had hired in order to get the job finished and it is still not complete. We had to completely gut both closets he had built because the way he built them was totally unusable and that is when we discovered he had used something besides wood for the shelves etc. We still have to find a cabinet builder to complete the linen cabinet he had to "custom" build. We had purchased cabinets for the bathroom but he never picked them up and they could only be held so long. I was under the assumption they were at his shop. He said we were having to pay him extra because I wanted custom cabinets. That was not the case. We are having to repaint because the paint is already chipping off and the texture applied in the bedroom is horrific! Also, paint was applied over stain that had been splashed and it is now bleeding through. I would be happy to provide pictures for anyone that needs validation.
Description of Work: Added a new bathroom with two closets on to our master bedroom.
