 When he came out he quoted me a price for all the work, but never gave me anything in writing.  BIG MISTAKE.  Always get it in writing.  I had to go out several times to show him where he had missed some hackberries.  Then I had to go out and ask his why he hadn't taken the dead vines off of the chain link fence.  He replied 'we cut them off at the ground, if you want them removed that will be extra". None of the gardens were touch, which I did bring up to him, and he said that would be 200 extra.   I had to run to Target to get them trash bags for the leaves and when I got back, instead of working, they were lounging in my front yard.  Instead of going out and checking their work before I paid them, I trusted they had done everything they said they would.  Another dumb mistake.  I'm a 59 year old woman who just spent 8 months in the hospital with 7 surgeries, so wasn't really up to it.  Now I regret it so much.  Juan Ortiz had me make the check to his partner Armando Salazar because he didn't have any I.D. on him to cash the check.  Yet another red flag.  They wasted no time cashing the 725 dollar check.  Later, I went out to check and found branches and stumps in the alley, blocking it.  They had taken some things from my patio, and didn't cut down all the hackberries as asked.  I called Juan and told him, he said they'd be back first think in the morning.  Never showed.  I called him back Saturday afternoon, and he said they got busy, but would be her first think the next morning.  No Show.  I called, and by now it was going to voice mail.  I've  called 10 times, and no response.  I realize I made some cardinal mistakes, but these guys are not ligit.  I even tried to email the address on their card, and it got a return notice that email doesn't exist.

The service turned out well.
