Mr. Roof Cleaning

I called him to see about getting a quote. He came by later that afternoon to provide quote. I asked what chemicals he used and whether they were safe for plants and he said he'd be able to remove all the mold, the plants would be protected, and that nothing would drip off of roof. I agreed on the price and he came the following day to perform the work. I noticed while he was cleaning the roof that he didn't cover the plants or gutters and that the chemicals were in fact dripping off of the roof. I don't know if bleach was used for certain but after he was done I noticed a strong bleach smell outside. Over the next few days I noticed that my plants were wilting and that one of my gardenias (which was 3 yrs old) next to a gutter (which was not protected) turned brown. I called him back to look at the damage and he said the roof looked good (all the mold was removed) but I pointed out that the plants were damaged and asked him why he didn't cover them. He had no comment. When I showed him the gardenia he said he could replace it but he never did. I told him to leave.

Bogus insurance certificate = no work from me.

My roof was about 12 years old and very had lots of milldew or algae, very dark on the shingles.
The company showed up on time. Did good prep work to cover the shrubs. They did not hammer nails into the roof for toe boards even though I have a steep roof. Used a soft spray cleaner, then a gentel washing. Did not use a hard powerwasher which some roof companies do, which could damage the shingles.
The roof looks as good as new and I am very pleased with the quality and service of this company.
