Mister Electric

I selected Mr Electric from angi.com because of the discounted hourly rate. The normal rate was $179, discounted to $139. I supplied the surge protector and did not purchase it from Mr Electric. When the electrician arrived he said that the coupon was for a different Mr Electric. He charged me $300 for less than 30 minutes of work. His initial price was $350. He supposedly gave me a $50 discount. He was going to put in a 20amp circuit breaker, when the instructions called for a 50 amp breaker. I had the electrician go and get a 50 amp breaker. I feel that this is bait and switch pricing

We called the company back. They sent a second person out who quoted us $5000 for the fix and some additional work. I had a different provider come out and do the same work for $100.

The work was performed by technician Luis Baires. This man really knew his stuff! He was very professional, courteous and  generous with his time in sharing his expertise about my electrical issues and concerns. I would choose to use this gentleman again for my electrical needs in a New York minute.
