Marco Torres

My experience with this contractor was horrific from beginning to end. Mr. Torres bragged that he was a favorite of wealthy and influential people and that he would take care of me to make sure I was happy. 1) After promising me that he would install plastic curtains to contain the dust and debris from reaching the rest of the house, he did not do this at the start of the project when extensive demolition of the old tile occurred 2) His workers failed to clean up after each day of the several days of demolition to the old ceramic tile. I had to live with and walk through piles and piles of broken ceramic tile for days on end. My home was left with a layer of concrete dust so thick it took multiple cleanings. I several months after the work, I am still cleaning the fine dust that crept into every corner and crevice and even damaged some of my home electronics. 3) The project took 2 weeks to complete! 4) The workers used my own brand new broom and a brand new wash cloth (without even asking my permission) on the final days of the project, both of which were ruined. 5) I would complain to Mr. Torres about the mess and he would just chuckle and ignore me. I would have fired him after the second day but I was so busy with other contractors getting multiple projects going (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) that I didn't have time to find and hire another tile contractor. 6) This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the shenanigans this contractor put me through. I could go on and on... Needless to say, I would advise anyone to steer clear of this contractor at all costs.

Marco does not do quality work. He built a fence that was out of plumb, and uneven. He said he would stain it. Didn't stain it. He said he would use screws to secure it. He did not.

He also painted the house. Prep work was very poor. He painted the windows shut. Used only one coat of paint so previous paint shows through. He also  did not scrape the windows.  Also, when painting gables, his worker broke roof shingles causing a leak. He also broke a few of the window screens, and lost one. Also, he has terrible communication with employees.

If that's not enough, he also left his garbage all over the yard. Never had a contractor who did not clean up their mess before.

Gave him a chance to come back and rectify the problems. Apparently he doesn't understand how to do these things.
