In the beginning the company was very responsive, quick to do the work, and on-time. As the project progressed near the end of the work, we found tile work that needed to be redone at the upstairs vanity and the downstairs bathroom plumbing developed a "water hammer" which would "thump" every time the toilet was flushed. They tried to fix the water hammer by significatnly closing the toilet water valve to reduce the water pressure at the toilet, which elimited the water hammer, but caused the toilet to take an excessive amount of time to fill the tank. I caught this and told the contractor to reopen the valve as it should be opened all the way. This was caught by me and I advised Mr. Gonzalez to reopen the valve like it is supposed to be. They did continue to try over the next several weeks to fix the water hammer but finally gave up, saying they could not fix it. We had to call and pay a separate plumber to address this water hammer problem. The upstairs walk-in closet carpet needed to be redone due to gaps between the carpet and the wall baseboard. They replaced a patch of carpeting and did not replace the closet carpet to assure a single piece of carpet in the closet. The bathroom vanity floor tile grout continues to crack and grout continues to break apart, this portion of the work will need to be redone. Attempts to call Mr. Enrique Gonzalez on many occasions met with voice mail and no return call. Attempts to contact his supervisor, Manny, failed also. Subsequent attempts to locate Mr. Gonzalez of EMG Construction caused us to realize that the company name had changed and we do not know his new company name.
