Century Link

The CenturyLink rep. told me I could have a bundle of Internet and a landline for $58.00/mo.  The bills have been $140 & 102.  I called last month to complain and was told they would reduce the cost to $58.00, but they didn't.  I'm sure the notes from my last call are on file for my account number.  So when I call today to cancel the Internet, I'm on hold for 15 minutes and then the rep. who picks up hangs up on me immediately.  I spent another 20 minutes on hold.  Interestingly, if you call them for NEW service, the wait time is less than 4 minutes or so it was for me.  They want your business and they want lots of your money.  I don't trust them.
Plus, if you try to contact them about issues using their website on the Internet, they want you to give them your social security number over the Internet.  How secure is that?  I will write the FCC.

They did not show up and when I called they assured me they would contact the field rep and call back, but that they would definitely be here by 4 PM. It is now 4:30 PM and no one came, or called back. Furthermore, customer service then told me  the second time I called that they did not have any way of contacting their field service personnel and it would likely be Monday by noon before someone would come out. There was not even an apology from either supervisor I spoke with and it was inferred that I was somewhat unreasonable to expect they could do better. I am cancelling my service immediately to go with another carrier.

I like it lot. They are really prompt in coming out to do repairs or whatever needs to be done if I have any problems. When you call them and if you have a problem, they always appear but if they can't, they're going to do it over the phone.

They are the only provider in my area and I really don't care for them.
